Our big boys are still cuddle bugs! It is surreal how quickly they are growing up. Two seconds ago Gabe was the little baby like, Jack and Nate more recently than that. They are becoming such wonderful people. Clark and I enjoy their humor, their interests, their talents and fun personalities. It is delightful and at times alarming to see pieces of us in them. Gabe and Nate are great friends. They are so good with their little brother too. We feel so blessed to have these little guys sharing this life with us.

Uncle Marcus is visiting! The boys love to play with him and little Jack Jack is especially attached to him.

Happy Birthday, George Washigton! We dressed up, learned about our First Prez, the Father of Our Country, made Hasty Pudding and had a fun time with Aunt Ali and the cousins!

Jack is feeling pretty cool these days. We keep catching him putting on sunglasses and hats and looking at his own reflection. Isn't it great how babies love to look at themselves and smile- when do we learn stop doing that? Here he is working out with his physical therapist, Kim. We even got him to take some steps without the walker! He was so proud that he clapped for himself!

Last night was a company party celebrating the official launch of Lumenas Studios, the funding is in and the movie is a go! They chartered a bus for all the employees and their dates, dinner at a nice restaraunt in the city and then a movie. It was fun to be able to finally meet all the people Clark works with there at the studio. There is a good energy there- and a good selection of people...this could be the start of something good. The next PIXAR? You never know.

CLARK + JO = LOVE!!!

Our 13th Anniversary was yesterday- time is sure flying by. We celebrated last weekend by doing an overnighter at an old Victorian B&B in Sandy. The room we stayed in was like a big, blue, furry monster- like a muppet. We went to the gym, went to the movies and did a little shopping. That night we shivered in that old house! Brrrrr!!!The next morning we went to the temple and did sealings, did a little more shopping and then headed home. Later that afternoon we did the best thing of all- a couples retreat at the Primrose Day Spa. Luxury! A lovely soak in a huge bath, with complimentary Martinellis and chocolate dipped strawberries (we brought those home for the kids), an hour long massage and manicures. The ambience was relaxing and cozy, all details and amenities considered in great detail. A wonderful experience to top off our celebrating.

Clark is working on a new film by Jared Hess, the director who brought us Napolean Dynamite and Nacho Libre. Clark has been keeping Schaffer Studios very busy- working also for Lumenas Studios. They shoot in March and I will be going with him on set to help out. Clark has such a fun job!

Jack's OT, Mary, brought him a walker last visit...he is in heaven! He feels so fancy going about, upright, he can really go quite fast. Yesterday he took three steps without the walker to friend, Maribel. Yay! We can see that this boy has come far and are sure that this year will be a big one for little Jack, our Tiny Tim. God Bless us, every one.

Make a slideshow - it's easy!

We decided to celebrate Chinese New Year. Aunt Ali, who lived in Bejiing, taught us some fun things about the country and history of China and the celebrations there. We put on costumes and Ali showed us how she can write in Chinese characters and speak some Mandarin.Then we made red, paper lanterns and had a tea party- with herbal tea, egg drop soup and rice- we used chopsticks and listened to traditional Chinese music. After the twins went home we baked homemade fortune cookies and dad brought home shrimp chips to fry and other snacks. It was fun. We also looked up the Chinese zodiak to see what year we were born. Gabe and Mom are year of the Tiger, Nate is a Dragon and Dad is the Ram...it is funny how the descriptions sort of match our personalities.

K12 had a fun outing to the Bean Museum- the kids got to learn about animals and pet a few live ones. Most of them are quite dead, however- stuffed and at times- under glass...they even have pheasants.

When Heather was visiting we took the kids skiing- it was surprising how they really got the hang of it after awhile- after a lot of flopping and wallowing in snow!
