High School, Here I Come!

Woo hoo! Finally, moving on from 8th grade! Next year I will a freshman in Highschool and I am really excited. Some people cried or felt sad after our promotional ceremony, but I'm just glad to move on to something new! After the ceremony, me and my friends went out to lunch at this great italian returaunt, Mongiamos. Then we went and got gelatos (sooo good!), hung out, and said our goodbyes for the summer!

Bellamor Quartet

Well, this is my quartet, Bellamor. We have sooooo much fun playing together and also had alot of fun taking these pictures. In every single one, even if we look serious, as soon as the picture is taken we bursted out laughing because its just so hard to be serous around each other. You don't even know how many times I have had to look like I was tuning my instrument or looking for music during a performance so that it wouldn't look like I was cracking up. We are all best friends, and the red-head playing cello, Jason Fauss, is one of my best friends.

strings program

hi everyone!
this summer i am in a summer strings program, and i am playing my viola in it. to place you in the right class, you have to play a song in front of these people who lookat your posture, intunation etc. then you have to sight-read a song and they see how well you do witht that. i did all those, and was sure i did pretty well, but they put me in the beginning orchestra!! so i was determined to show those neanderthals by playing so well that they couldn't deny that i belonged in a better place. i guess i did, because they moved me up to the intermediate 9i still would have liked to be in advanced though ) after only 3 days. so now i'm totally happy!

String Quartet

Um, i don't really know how to put pictures on here so bear with me...
i am in a string quartet (consisting of two violins, a viola, and a cello), that i play viola in. Just for those of you who don't know, a viola is shaped like a violin, but has the strings of a cello, it is the platypus of the music world! i love it, and three of my friends and I got together to play quartet music for a school thing. i guess someone there really liked us, because we got hired out for a christmas gig! over time up to now we have played at other places (parties, community events etc.) quite a few times. This is great because i get fun , fame, and a little extra cash! the cello player Jason is VERY funny, and i really like him alot (but don't get any ideas). i love playing with my friends, and i encourage anyone and everyone to get involved in music!

hey everyone!
i am in a totally cool singing group called young women in harmony for ages 12-21. we sing barber shop in 4 part harmony and it is really fun!. on Saturday, February 24, a small group (about 10) of us sang "the locomotion" for the Healdsburg town talent show, and it will be on t.v. next Saturday! i think i did very well, we all sounded great, but a few people weren't smiling, but hey, i guess i'll just stand out more then, and that's ok with me! (i'm not being snobby, just so you know!) Sorry i don't have any pictures right now, it just happened last night!
