Peer pressure perhaps? I'm not sure that the right message has come across for Amberlee. :) I feel like it must not have because they haven't come when I called ever since we moved here. I find them two or three parking lots away. Any suggestions? Perhaps a family night lesson on boundaries... I don't know.

A fun trip to Yellowstone Park

We had such a fun excursion to Yellowstone with Anth & Kylie, Benj & Amy. We enjoyed watching gysers go off, studying the mud pots, eating at a great diner in West Yellowstone, and laughing through a marvelous preformance of 'Hello Dolly' at the Playmill Theatre. We all had a blast!

Baby King Update & Olympics

I know it's been weighing heavily on your minds, but much more heavily on my hips . . . I thought you might like to know what the baby status is lately. As of Friday, the doctor said I won't be having it this week. He thinks I'll probably go at least until my due date, August 28th. Just as I expected! We're excited to have Mom and Dad come stay with us before the baby comes. Hopefully he'll get here before they have to take off! :) This little guy seems to be very active, particularly at night when I'm trying to get some rest. He loves to do jumping jacks and spread eagles.

We'll also be keeping you posted with some clips from our "King Family Olympics." Have any of you caught the Olympic fever? Seth and I have been watching every night into the wee sma's. We really should get more sleep, but it's only once every few years, right? My Favorites: gymnastics & swimming. Seth: gymnastics, swimming, and track&field. Least favorite: women's beach volleyball. Sink me, I can hardly bring myself to look upon them! Those ladies and their little outfits . . .

Ma and Pa's Addition...

I snapped a few pictures of the additions before we took off. Thought you guys might like to see what mom and dad have been up to. They stained the floor this cool greenish-gray color with specs in it. Mom said dad also put molding around. It really looks nice! Our parents are sure creative! Sometimes I wonder at their eccentric ideas, but in the end- it is so much more fun then the run of the mill stuff. I just love their unique old house- I can't wait for a reunion! :)

Just thought I'd throw in a couple of pictures of Lydia's first day at Bloomington Hills Elementary. I can't believe she's in 2nd grade already! She was so excited and nervous this morning. These are her neighbor friends, Elisa (3rd grade) & Emma (1st grade). There are a couple more pictures on our family blog.

I stuck this picture in because it's one of the first times I caught Eleni with a smile on her face instead of reaching for the camera. She is definitely not a poser! She just wants to see me on the camera screen . . .

Just a quick update on me.

The operation has been postponed to August 27, 2008. The cadaver they were going to use wasn't good enough.

Life is good for Amy Jo and me... as you can see, Amy's loving married life, and so am I.
