ooh, this was cute. i mean it was chaotic but so fun to watch our big girl sing her christmas songs she had prepared all semester and we were sure proud. she was one of the 6 ballerinas in their very own 12 days of christmas!!

we tried something a little different this year for thanksgiving, well it least it was for us. the "morris" family all met in florida and went on a disney cruise and it was absolutely amazing. disney has it down......no lines, lots of food, great entertainment, and the kids club (wow, this place) this kids club is an are some would call childcare but i can't seem to call it that. sallie wore a band around her ankle and was scanned in and out each time, she had to wash her hands before entering, they had tea parties, surprise visits from princesses, if she was hungry they fed her, if she was tired, they would page us, it was a magical funland and she never wanted to leave.

we ate like royalty ( i typically ordered 2 of everything because i am so indecisive), the shows were so fun to watch, their private beach was gorgeous, and they just spoiled us rotten.

just wanted to post a picture of our little family rooting on the hogs........not really sure what this is on my husband's face. thankfully it's not there now!

our school carnival

i remember going to my elementary school carnival when i was little, so i was super excited this year for sallie's Halloween party. her school does such a great job of getting families involved and they put so much extra work in to make holidays special! for the longest time sal wanted to be a princess.....of course, but then we found this chef costume and she thought it was the best thing ever,

after work, i picked her up, we got changed in to our costume and headed to the party. they had a costume contest, art activities, hot dogs, smores, and lots of yummy treats. it was so cute seeing all of her friends dressed up.

we weren't able to eat a hot do, just too much excitement. so we drove through mcdonald's on the way home and before we even made it halfway home, i turned back and saw my little chef just like this. and yes, that is a french fry sticking out of her mouth. she was worn out!

3 year check up

three year check up went great. right now we get excited to visit the doctor, grab a treat, play with the roller chair and cotton balls........thankfully no shots so it was pretty fun!

we have really been in to painting lately....which is funny for me because i am so not the artist. i can draw a tree, a flower, and a house. it is so fun to sit and watch her and wonder what she will enjoy doing as she gets bigger. as for now, she loves painting in her princess book she got as a gift for her birthday.

i just want to remember some of the "simple" yet very funny things our girl says.......gosh, they make me laugh. and i am sure they seem a lot funnier to me than anyone else. ha!

it was such a beautiful weekend and we were so excited to spend time with friends just relaxing and catching up. both of my friend's jill were in town.....jill f did a little painting in sallie's big girl room (i will be sure to show some pics soon) and jill b brought her adorable girls over to play with sallie and they had the best time!!

saturday afternoon we headed to the game and sal got to go too! she loved it......i mean the girls did spend quite a bit of time at the snack bar, riding the elevator, running up the ramp and walking around, but we watched a little football too!

dad came back with some cotton candy hoping we could stay a little bit longer. we did make it to the fourth quarter and we scored once more, so it was safe to leave!

where i work

a little bit of fun this morning at work! rich came in early and cooked up some pancakes and sausage. here are a just a few of us enjoying a yummy treat!

i don't usually blog about work, because, well, it is a little confusing sometimes. when i first started working for this company we sold, medical scrubs and that was it. basically what we do is find niche products that consumers are searching for online and build a website around them. now we have 11 different websites and sell everything from cowboy boots to kitchenaid mixers in so many different colors......i even got sallie an adorable pair of ballet shoes for her dance class this summer.

we just launched hectic gourmet and it is so much fun. it makes me want to get a bunch of new appliances and cook cook cook!

princess party

we are all about some princesses right now, so what better than a princess party!!! we had so much for this year for sallie's third birthday. we decorated her new "castle", invited some of her most favorite people, got to spend time with family from kansas, and even had two surprise visitors. the morning was fantastic and i loved seeing the smiles on these beautiful little girls (and boys) that came all dressed up for the party.

cinderella and prince charming were so sweet to forgo ariel's party with all of the other princesses (because the girl's just had to know where they were) to spend time visiting with all of these beautiful princesses.......and answering other questions like "do you remember meeting me at disney world?" and "how did you get here?", "who made your dress?" and "are you friends with your stepsisters now?"
