Alex left the end of July for sixteen days in Posadas, Argentina where he made lasting friendships with amazing young adults and memories that he'll have forever. He was part of the 5th group and was able to see Iguazu Falls, canoe in the waters surrounded by Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, spend a surprising day in Bolivia and came home stronger spiritually, socially and emotionally. There were miracles. I'm personally so grateful for the impact HXP has had in the lives of three of my children.

Lily, Hallie and Millie with Alex. The girls on the right are his besties. He said that they were super easy to talk to and they always had energy. Millie was easy to talk to about anything and they had some inside jokes and she was cute! He said that Emiliano was fun because he was the class clown and would always be joking and had the stupidest laugh and was sick and cough all the time he laughed.

Alex says that his group was the best. No one was on their own and everyone was so nice and would share everything. He said they all gave kisses on each others cheeks. They were always talking and laughing.
They worked for about a week on two classrooms at a local school. Mixing cement and placing brick walls.

Notes I took from talking to Alex. He loves his trip so much. He loves the people and the experiences. He was sad to leave them and not have his 18 people around him day and night once he got home. He loved Iguazu and he loves the construction. He was glad he wasn't just painting and cleaning up. There were a lot of flight snaffoos that he didn't even mind! The YSA leaders were perfect he said! His testimony grew and he has no decided to serve a mission. He was on the fence before. He wants to go to the temple more and said that he enjoyed reading random scriptures and doing little devotionals every morning. He'd like to keep that up. He's contemplating so many new things and he's just happier and more content. He ran off the plane and hugged me and hasn't stopped hugging when I ask!
He said his most spiritual moment was when he got the notes from Travis and I. He said that he just saw everything all come together and saw how much the Savior is involved in his life.
His favorite food was Milanesa which is smashed steak or chicken. They really smash it and then fry it! Yum.
