An Update for Sunday

A missing picture from Sylvia's birthday this year. Glad I found it.

It's Sunday. 

We have been very super lazy today. 

It's been a day of Christmas movies, football, naps, and lounging around.

Daron has a stomach bug and can't keep anything but water down, hopefully its a 24-hour thing like Sylvia just had several days ago. She was only sick for an evening.

Winter Break started Friday (16) and I'm not sure whose more excited. 

Grant will leave in about a week to spend a week in Iowa. 

This next week, we have more family coming down to celebrate Christmas.

Potty 'training' is pretty much a thing of the past. We couldn't be any prouder of Miss Sylvia. 

We've had quite a bit of rain lately. I miss the rain, not the snow.

I still have a good amount of Christmas shopping to do yet, and I am dreading it.

Tough Mudder is less than a month away... enough said. :)

Visitors from Iowa

Yes, we finally got our first round of company!! We had some visitors from Iowa!! After 2 and a quarter days of driving, Thursday afternoon, Grandma and Grandpa Rameyer and Aunt Dawn arrived in Arizona! They had quite the adventure coming down but made it all in one piece! We were all excited to see them and sad to send them home this morning, but SOOO glad they were able to make it!

We had a fun, busy few days and enjoyed a long weekend full of early Christmas celebrating with lots of yummy food, cookies, presents, and even a visit from Santa! 

Time always goes so fast but we are just glad we could spend  a 4 day weekend together! I got more but here are just a few pics of our early Christmas festivities!

In just a few short weeks, the other Grandma and Grandpa will be making a visit as well! 

We L.O.V.E. seeing all the family over the holidays! Make the holidays all the more special!

Sylvia has NEWS to share!

Nope! We aren't expecting! 

(Why does everyone assume that is our news?? I think that is funny, that is always the first thing one guesses! We are on the 5 year plan! ;) haha!)

IT'S TIME TO DO THE POTTY DANCE!!

Now, we aren't 100% yet, BUT......  On Sunday night we had a 'I'm gonna be a big girl' talk, Monday morning Sylvia put on her Dora panties, with a pull up at night and since we've only had 2 accidents as of tonight! Not to mention, one of those was a poop and today she went in by herself and pooped in the potty! I thought that would be the tough part but she knows exactly what to do! She was so proud! She said "I told you so, Momma!" She ought to though, she turned 3 in September! I guess she just wanted to wait, but I think she realized her friends (and boyfriend, Jack) were using the potty at school! 

Sylvia is so excited so proud of herself and we are too! Whew, thought she would never wanna get out of diapers! 

So we will cross our fingers that she continues to wanna be a big girl!! I haven't thrown out the diapers quite yet, but I have a feeling she is pretty much done with them! She loves her stickers and jelly bean treat when she goes! And last night she told me "I can watch movies, eat candy, and stay up late now, cuz I'm a big girl! Coley said so!"

We love you Sylvia! Great job!!

Sylvia asked to eat Pizza tonight... I think we will! :)

I never thought I would say this living in Arizona, but where the heck is my electric blanket!??!? Maybe I shouldn't have sent it back to Iowa the first month we moved down here!! Brrr! It is freezing down here in the winter! Each year we tally up down here, is another we become big 'ol weenies to this (coming from an Iowan) nice weather! I thought I was ready for the heat to leave but right now I would take a nice 90 degree day!
It's 44 degrees out with a high of 54 today!
I think I said it once already... I can't wait for my electric blanket to arrive! (But yes, I am more excited for those who are bringing it!!) Love when we get visitors, especially the family!!!
Just a few more days!

PS: There is some exciting news we have to share later this week!!! Maybe Miss Sylvia will be the one to announce it!! :-D

Film Pics

As usual, when D's beautiful black cloud hits, it strikes hard! I lost my computer (I didn't LOSE it, but it took a dump on me) in August, and right before that my favorite camera broke. Luckily it was just the one I carry in my purse with me all the time. Not my big one! Whew!
So... I wanna share some pics, but since I haven't been able to get a new camera yet, I don't have hardly any new ones that haven't been taken on my phone. I got disposable cameras for a mud run some girls and I did last month and I had extra film to use up before I got them developed. The kids managed to finish them off for me! I love the look of film, especially disposable film! These aren't anything great but just some fun ones through the eyes of the kids (except for the last one) with that great old film finish! :)

A short one anyway....

Apparently, it's been 2 months, according to the blogger calendar, since I last posted anything!

Well, I'm back from my blogging hiatus! It's been a long time! We have been super busy (and still are) with kids, school, my never ending job of photo editing since I got a computer back, the holidays fast approaching, friends, spending time at the gym, cleaning, and soon to be a house full of company!

We can't wait!

Few Messages

I'm sorry I have been such a terrible Blogger the last several months (ok, more like 3 or 4). The past 2+ weeks, we have been without a computer and it sucks! No access to photos, and I hate just writing without sharing images so I have just pushed blogging aside. The phone gets the job done, but not nearly as quick or easy as the 'ol PC.
Anyway, the reason I am here is I wanted to wish my Mom and Dad a very happy Anniversary! It's been 38 years! Wow! Wedded bliss of course! Love you both! I wish I could post pictures but they will have to wait!

I also wanted to let you all know about a fundraiser D and I are participating in this Saturday. We (all at our gym and crossfitters from all over the world) are all working together to raise money for 3 wonderful charities. For 17 minutes, we will be giving all we got to complete the workout, Fight Gone Bad. Will you support my 17 minutes!??!

I'm Back!

Back in the Arizona Groove! 

(sorry, I had to!)

I guess we got back about 2 weeks ago, but things are just now starting to settle down. We are getting back into the regular routine of our hot Arizona days, and we are adjusted back to mountain time. I also got the house cleaned up after the first wonderful 'Haboob' that came through! ugh!
Hopefully I can stay caught up with the blog. I know it has been a good month since I posted anything! We had a WONDERFUL trip back to Iowa, but as always glad to be home! Miss everyone so much and so glad I got to see so many friends and family! ♥

Happy Mother's Day

....to all the wonderful mommas out there and especially to my mom and mother in law!

I'm so blessed to have the family I do and appreciate all they do for me and my own family! They are so loving, caring, and supportive in everything we do and  I love you both!

Even though I couldn't spend time with my mom today, it was still a pretty good day. I was still able to have a enjoyable day with my own kiddos being lazy and watching movies! It was nice just spending time together although I just wish D didn't have to work. I'm so happy to be a mom to my three beautiful, charming, and just awesome little kids!

Hope all you momma's out there had a beautiful day!

A Little More Easter

Here are some more pictures I wanted to share of the fun time we had over at Jodi and Steve's house over Easter weekend. We (kids) swam, had an egg hunt, ate yummy food, and just enjoyed being with wonderful friends!
