September Soccer, Scouts and Hot Air...Balloons!

Aaron signed up for soccer again and got on a team with a really great pair of coaches!  Josh paid to sponsor the team jerseys.  What fun!

He has come a long way!

Aaron signed up for Cub Scouts and Josh signed up to be his Den leader! 

The first meeting was at our house and the boys were so excited! 

Mission 1:  Construct Rockets for the Pack Rocket Launch! 

Aaron made a banner welcoming Den 6 and asked each boy to sign it and write their favorite color! 

Our neighbor, Ben, is in 5th grade and has been in scouts since first grade so he was sharing knowledge with the new guys...I love how attentive they are to what he is saying! 

Anyone know another 1 year old who eats salad?? 

She steals my salads regularly! 

We live in an area where we frequently see hot air balloons.  On this evening there were actually 7 but I couldn't get them all in one shot! 

This guy was seated in chair like contraption rather than a basket!  (LOVE my zoom lens!)

September Happenings!

Emily started Pre-Kindergarten!  It took some bribery to get her to smile, but she sure looks sweet when she does!  She was extremely excited for her first day!

Meanwhile, back at home, Macie enjoyed lunch with just Mommy...this girl LOVES broccoli!

Mommy started running with a neighbor this summer so we signed up for the Choose to Move 10k.  The kids made the sweetest sign to congratulate me!

They had fun activities for the kids set up after the race.  Aaron got a sword made out of a balloon while Emily chose to have her face painted like a princess tiara!

First Day of School and Cousins' Birthday Party

Aaron started First Grade on August 13th.  He is such a good dude about getting up and going!  So brave this year!

Macie is growing up too fast and has really begun to love "coloring" and playing outside!

We went to Toledo to celebrate Daphne and Mira's birthdays!  They had an adorable ladybug theme and played hot potato with a ladybug beach ball!

They also got their own cups with LIVE ladybugs to take home!  How fun!!

Emily decided to "adopt" more ladybugs after the extras were released in the garden!  She sweetly shared them with Macie too.

Back at Grammie's, Macie decided she was going "swimming!"

It was a great summer and we were sad to see it dwindle away and give way to a school schedule!
