What....it has been six months....

Ha Ha....I am a BAD blogger....
We are all doing well. Zane turns 10 in 12 days. He will be in his dad's webelos group which he is really excited for. Talon is getting really good at writing his letters and shapes and keeps asking when he gets to go to school. Archer is starting to potty train and is talking our ears off. Blade is loving copying everything that his brothers do (and believe me this is not always a good thing). He is definitely my big boy. He is almost 15 months old and has been wearing 18 month clothes since the beginning of January (and some of them are getting tight...mostly the pjs). He is definitely our little bull dowser! Talbot has started school online to be a polysonographer (pop quiz...does any one know what that is???) He is enjoying learning all sorts of new things. I am being a wife and mom and I work on the side teaching (ha ha like 35 hours a week is on the side). I love where life is at for us right now!!

Blade Xander Christensen

His first Black Friday Shopping experience..

6 weeks old

So I am a little slow but here is the latest and greatest. Blade was born on November 5th. He weighed 10 pounds 1 ounce, was 22 inches long, and had a head circumference of 15 1/2 inches. He is now seven weeks old. He is sleeping about six hours at night (thank goodness). He is a wonderful baby who we all love and adore.....

Another update...

So...this is me a week ago today and I am only just a tad bit bigger now (costume was for the ward Halloween party)....Friday is D-Day for me...I am at the point I can hardly wait...I will keep everyone updated....Love ya, Nila

Pregnancy Update

So...where to begin....I found out that I had gestational diabetes at week 28. I have been able to keep my levels in the right range with diet, exercise, and a very low dose of medications (thankfully not insulin). We are now 35 weeks and Blade is approximately 7 pounds already. After our doctor's appointment yesterday, we have a estimated delivery date between October 21st (37 weeks) and November 4th (39 weeks). The doctor doesn't want him to be too much over 9 pounds (Archer was 9lbs 8oz...I suspect I might have had gestational diabetes at the very end of pregnancy). We measure Blade's weight on the 22nd of October. His weight determines whether or not we have an amniocentesis done and his delivery date. My maternity leave is set to start on November 1st so we are hoping to have him no sooner than the 30th of October (which is also when Krystle and Trinity are coming to help out while we are in the hospital)....It is exciting and scary and makes have more work to do a little sooner (set up the bassinet, wash clothes, make the right size cloth diapers, etc.), but it is all worth it to have him here and safe. I will keep everyone updated! Love ya all!
