13 Months and Walking....sort of...

On Saturday May 12th (my 13 month birthday), I unveiled something that I have been working on behind the scenes for months - I took my first steps.  Mommy and Daddy were so excited, but I was just carrying my toy from point A to point B.  It took a few days before I would start taking a few steps here and there, but only if I'm going toward Mommy or Daddy.  I'm too scared to just walk away from them, but I love walking toward them!

BTW, do you see my baby sister in Mommy's belly?  Her doctor says she looks a lot like me!

Here is a video that Mommy took of me while she was tricking me into thinking I was almost in her arms for 20+ seconds.  That Mommy is one tricky lady!

Small things make me giggle

Increasingly over the past month, Mommy and Daddy are finding that it doesn't take much to make me laugh.  Now granted, it doesn't take much to make me cry either, but they usually aren't standing there with a camera when that happens!  Check out how cool Daddy's toes are!

We also like to play the towel toss game.  So fun!

Daddy has a funny laugh.  I just sit and laugh at him when he laughs at me.

My tricycle doesn't necessarily make me laugh, but it's a great mode of transportation, and THAT makes me very happy!

I do have to share my unique talent - walking on my knees.  I know that most people walk on their feet, but have you seen how small my feet are?  My knees are so much easier to use!

1 Year Old!

I can't believe I have been living and breathing on this earth for more than a year.  Mommy and Daddy had a fun family get together to celebrate my birth.  Mommy wants to apologize for being so delayed in sharing the fun since she has been busy lately.

All of my grandparents were in town to celebrate along with the rest of my family.  There were a lot of people at our house, but that was just fine with me.  I know, you think I struggle with crowds, and I do, but I had a lot of fun on this particular day.  Mommy and Daddy said they were stunned.

First, there was cake.  Since I hadn't tried milk or eggs yet, Mommy made me some sort of weird vegan cake, but I thought it was tasty.

Then it was time for presents.  This was my favorite card!

It was fun to watch Mommy and my cousin Kendall help with the presents.  I was having too much fun with the card instead.
