Ok...

Well, I switched over to the "NEW" Blogger today. I don't really know why I did. Just thought I would give it a try. Anyway...same old shit going on around here.

Still waiting to hear about the BP and Jer.
Still wishing I were going back to school to "better" myself.

My complaint for the day...should probably go on the family blog, but I am putting it here. Well, on 11/29, Samantha had to go to an Orthopediac Pediatric Doctor. Well, he gave her a script for the "special" shoes (you know...the ones that look like they are on the wrong foot and have a bar holding them together on the bottom). Well, he scheduled her for a follow-up on 1/10/07 (6 weeks). So, yesterday I finally got a call from the Prostetics place that I took her script and got her feet measured. I will be able to get her in on 12/27 to fit her for the shoes. So, needless to say, I had to call and re-schedule her appt. with the specialist since I am not driving 45 - 60 mins for an appt. that I have to take half a day off work for him to tell me "She hasn't had the shoes long enough to tell if they are working." So she is going on 1/31 and then going to her 1 year appt. after that.

I can't believe that she is going to be 1. I am so excited and still a little distressed by it all!!!!

Oh well....Sorry it has been so long. I will try to be better. Hope to talk to my IPP girls soon. I miss ya'll!!!!

I'm still here...

Well, I'm still here. Sorry that I have been so horrible at posting. We (my mom, Samantha, and I just got back on Sunday from our trip to Texas. We had a great time and really enjoyed getting to spend time with family.

We got to celebrate my great grandmas 95th birthday, have Thanksgiving with family, and then celebrate my Aunt's 50th birthday!

It's been a while...

Well, it has been awhile since I have posted. Not really a lot going on!

Halloween went well, except for the fact that the Background Investigator was at our house from 5:30 - 7:00 pm and trick or treating was from 6 - 8. Yep....Jer's application is moving right along for the border patrol. They have met with a few people here and a few in Buffalo as well. It is moving quick. Who knows....we may hear something as far as him being offered a job before you know it!

I voted yesterday....that is all I can say about that. I tried to do my civic duty. I won some and I lost some!

I have had some weird dreams lately. My papa (grandpa), who passed away 2 years ago, was in my dream the other night and he had Samantha. I was looking for her and couldn't find her. He came walking in with her and said "She's right here. She's fine. But, if you keep screaming like that, she probably won't be." Well, that sounds like something he would have said. So, I'm taking that part of my dream to mean that I shouldn't worry, because he is watching over her. It could be something more, but I like that thought.

Today is my birthday, but Jer took me and Samantha out to dinner last night, since we were out doing errands anyway. We went to Carrabba's. If you haven't tried their Chicken Bryan
(Grilled chicken breast topped with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and a basil lemon butter sauce), I suggest you do so. It was phenomenal!

So far for my birthday....Samantha got me up at 4 am, I got her to fall back asleep about 5:30 so I could get ready for work and then I had to wake her up to take her to grandma's (whose birthday is today as well!). Oh, did I mention that it is my father-in-laws birthday too! Yep...all 3 of us on the same day. My mom and fil were even born the same year.

Well, don't really have any thing planned for today. Jer got me clothes for my b-day and my mom is taking me to Texas on the 18th for a week (can't ask for much more than that!).

That is about the extent of things! I miss all of my IPP girls! I'm sorry that I haven't updated and commented like I should....

MIA...

Well, I feel like I have been MIA on this blog. Nothing new or interesting is really going on. Jer started a factory job on Monday. Don't get me wrong...I don't have anything against factory jobs...it is just that he has a law degree. He didn't want to work for a law firm because he didn't want to be away from me or Samantha that much. That is sweet, however, his shift is 4 10's (6 am - 4:15 pm M-Th), and this being his first week...he worked M- TH and is working today and is probably going to work tomorrow. OK, so that is nice for the money (time and a half on Friday and Sat. and if he works on Sunday - that is double time), but I do kind of miss him. Getting up at 4:25 am every morning is kicking his ass, so I get to see him for about 4 hours in the evening (he is in bed by 9).

Well, that is really about it. Me, Samantha, and my mom are going to Texas for Thanksgiving. My grandma is going to be 95 on 11/19, so we are flying in on the 18th and will be there for my aunt's 50th birthday (the 25th) and then come on the 26th. Seems like there isn't enough time when we are there.

That is about it...hopefully, I will have something worthwhile to write about soon!

Well, nothing new to report. Jer still hasn't found a job...even though there is a good possibility of him getting a job down south, he REALLY wants to stay up here...which sucks...because I want to go back down there! I understand that he grew up in this part of the country and his family is only 6 hours away....but...

Oh well...I will be happy wherever I am as long as I have my family.

I am getting really fed up with my job. I have one supervisor that signs my timeslips, however, I have a lot more "supervisors" that give me work. Well, one of them has been treating me like shit lately and I really don't have a clue why...could be:
a. I don't have a Ph.D
b. I don't have a penis
c. He's a prick
d. All of the above

I'm going with D. Seems to be the best answer all around. Then my "actual" supervisor says, "Well, he would respect it more if you just said something to him, rather than whine about it to everyone".

So, I'm thinking....(Sorry for the language here) "Whine about it? Fuck you...You fat fucking bitch!!!" What I said..."well, what can you do?" And I walked off. What kind of supervisor is that...I could be wrong, but I thought that you were supposed to stand behind your employees? Oh, I forgot to mention...she went to talk to him about giving the work to me rather than to a guy who has a Ph.D. and a penis...anyway...he kicked her out of his office. So...how am I supposed to talk to him? They can all kiss my ass!

To fix this problem....I have put out about 6 resumes....of course I will only leave if I can find a job that pays what I make here.

Sorry for the bitching...I don't know what came over me.

I have got to find another job quick! I have spent 20 minutes crying this morning after I kicked the above referenced dick head out of my office. He pisses me off. I think what pisses me off even more is the fact that I let him get to me to the point that I cried. I hate when I get so mad that I cry! Fuck!!!!! Ok, have to get back to work now and fix the shit that HE has fucked up!!!!

OK, so I removed the pics. I figured it would disgust someone or upset them. My husband and I both like to hunt, so we have a lot of wild game. Last night we had rabbitt and squirrel. Well, they were grilled and it just looked really funny sitting there on the plate.

I know that a lot of people don't agree with hunting...but we don't just do it for the "sport", it save a hell of a lot of money on the grocery bill...and it tastes good!

Well, Jer passed the oral board interview! I knew he would...I had faith in him. Now, we just wait... We have to wait for the background investigation to be completed. There is no telling how long that could take.

I survived leaving Samantha at her grandmas for the night, but it was good for Jer and I to have an evening with just the 2 of us. I missed her like crazy, but she was fine. The way she acted when we went to pick her up....she missed us too. That sure made me feel good!

Well, there isn't a lot to update on. Hopefully there will be more very soon.

Update...

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Here is what has been and is going on:

You know, there really isn't much. I had a small problem with my cycle this month. Around CD15 or so, I got the brown sludge for about 5 days. I am currently on CD24.

Jer has his oral interview tomorrow for the border patrol, so we got a hotel and are going to stay there tonight. I am excited for him, but not looking forward to going tonight because the baby is going to have her first sleep over at her grandmas. It makes me sick at my stomach knowing that I have to leave her tonight. I know she will be fine!!!!

Well, that is really about it! I will try to update more often. I will put more pics on the other site soon!

Work...

Jer got his letter today for the Oral Board Interview with the Border Patrol! We (they recommend that the spouse goes too) go on Sept. 12. I am excited.

He should hear something the end of this week or sometime next week about the interview that he went on last Wednesday. If he gets that job...we stay here. If he ends up with the Border Patrol...off we go!

Jer called a little while ago to tell me that he got a call to schedule the drug test and physical fitness test. I think (was busy here at work while he was telling me) that it is next week!

Bitches and Gripes....

Ok..so here is my bitch and gripe for the day!

Do you know what the worst part of working at the University is? It's the students. Last week they started moving in and today.... classes are starting back. You can't get out of the parking lot without almost running one over. I always take holiday breaks and summer for granted. It is so nice and quiet on campus during those times. Now...it is back to the chaotic hum drum of every day life on campus!

In other news...I have lost a little more weight. Thank goodness for the synthroid. I did get a call from the nurse about a week and a half ago. My doctor had her call in a lower prescription for me. I am going from 200 mcg/day to 175 mcg/day. I haven't started taking the new ones yet....I had enough of the other to get me through to September 8. I go back to the docto on September 28, so that should be plenty of time to get the adjusted blood work on the decrease.

I am starting to work out again. Well, I got up one morning and worked out...my cycle started 5 days early! So, now that is over...so in the morning I am going to get up and do my Taebo...at least I am going to try!

Jer's parents are coming to our house for the Labor Day weekend. They should be here sometime Thursday evening and will be staying until Monday. This should be loads of fun! I like my in-laws...but sometimes....well...you know!

Ok, enough of that....

I hope that all of my IPP girls are doing good. I just want you to know that I am thinking about ya. We will have to chat again soon!

Body Wrap...

So, has anyone tried The Body Wrap ? I am interested in trying it. They say that you can lose 10-15 inches in an hour, but are guaranteed at least 6 inches or you get your next wrap free. It is a little expensive, but if I can take off a few inches...I am thinking it is worth it. In a way I feel like I need a push start to losing weight and I think that this might be that kick in the ass that I need. Not that I don't get one everytime I step on the scale.

Well, please let me know if you or anyone you know has tried it!!!!

Update...

Well, I went to the doctor this morning and the throid seems to be getting under control now (or at least more so than it was). I am now HYPERthyroid. Went full circle since I started out being hypothyroid. That is alright with me though. Maybe I will get some of this weight off that I SOOOO quickly put on when my thyroid started to take a shit. The doctor still has me on 200mcg/day of the synthroid, but he said if my levels stay like they are, then he will more than likely lower my dose to 175 mcg.

Well, I finally did it! I went ahead and started another blog for updates, videos, and pics of the family. It is Family of Three. If you are interested, please pop over there every now and then and see how much my little girl is growing.

Happy Anniversary....

Yep...today is our anniversary. I am taking today off of work and my mom is going to watch Samantha all day. We don't really have a lot planned...we are going to go golfing this morning, maybe catch a matinee, and go out to dinner this evening. We didn't buy anything outrageous this year. Last year at this time I was pregnant, so we bought a camcorder...this year, we bought a new camera. Our old one took great pics, but it was so huge and outdated.

Well, a quick note on little Miss Samantha...she started "Army" crawling about a week and a half ago...well, she now kind of does a real crawl! She moves her knees and then her hands...not quite together, but closer than she was. It was amazing to see. Well, here it is a day off for me and she got me up at 5:40 am. Now an hour later...she is getting restless.

Samantha...

Well...here is a quick update...

Samantha had her 6 month appt today (she is 6.5 mos).
She weighed in at 17 lbs 15 oz (75th percentile)
She was 27" long (90th percentile)
She got 3 shots...and it was the worst out of all of them so far...I was almost in tears. She cried so hard until I could pick her up. I had to grab her before Jeremy could....I was the "GOOD" parent.

I am going to do a blog for my family...so they can see pics, videos, and updates of Samantha. I will post a link when I get it going!

The visit with my dad went great. It was really nice to see him. They offered to pay for our tickets if we would come down there for a visit.

I think that the thyroid is starting to get under control. I lost 7 lbs the first month on the pill.

I am really tired of being a fat ass, so as bad as my legs and ankles still hurt, I am going to start working out because I hate looking like I do.

Jer scored really well on the Border Patrol Exam. Still have a ways to go with the process, but hopefully this will be the start of something good.

I have decided not to start a blog just for Samantha since I just do the pics on Kodak Gallery and send them that way.

Samantha is doing great. Growing like a weed. I took her for 6 month pics...they look great. I will post them when I get them online. Bragging.....*one of the pics was so good, that the lady there asked if she could order an extra one to put in the studio portfolio.* I am so proud.

I'm still here...

Well, I have been quite the slacker lately when it comes to posting. I just really haven't had much to say that isn't baby related. I feel as if I should create a new blog just to cover that, because that is what everyone else is doing. Sometimes I feel like people probably think I am some insensitive bitch because I haven't yet. I will try not to post about the baby on here. If you want to know how she is doing, or want updates, you can leave me a comment and I will let you know.

So, non baby related....

Jer is taking the border patrol exam tomorrow. I don't want to leave here because of my mom, I love our house, the neighborhood, and our neighbors. But....I am ready to move to a new chapter of our life. Even though Jer has his law degree, this is something that he has always wanted to do. Please say a prayer for him that he does well on the exam and that the process will move quickly for him.

my biological dad and his wife will be here Friday. As I have said before...I haven't seen him in a little over 6 years and it has been that long since I have talked to him on the phone. I have e-mailed back and forth with him. I am really getting nervous. I have no idea what to say or do once they get here. I guess I will just let life take its course and let one thing lead to another.

I guess that is about it. I hope that all of my IPP girls know that I am thinking of them and that they know they are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Also, anyone else who still reads this...if I haven't commented in a while, I apologize. Work has been extremely busy and so has life in general!

Feeling better....

Well, here is a quick update....

The synthroid seems to be making me feel much better mentally, however, it hasn't kicked in on the physically part yet. I am still exhausted! I have had a ton of people telling me that I am looking a LOT better. The swelling in my face has gone down so much. Now, I just look chunky...I don't look like I am getting ready to explode. The swelling in my ankles has also gone down, but I still have some in my legs. It looks rather funny and I still refuse to wear shorts or capris in public. Damn that sucks!

Little Miss Samantha is doing really good. She is so rotten! Of course...I blame it all on her daddy since he is the one that is home with her every day. No, he still hasn't found a job. Hoping that he finds something soon or I get a raise! Either one will work.

Myxedema...

So, that is what I have. It is a form of hypothyroidism. Apparently, my numbers were not good at all. I can't remember what the term on the blood work said, but the numbers of how much your thyroid is producing is expected to be between .8 and 1.8, mine was a .24. The doctor says that is "like having more than half of my thyroid tied behind my back." Then the number that shows how much your brain is telling your body to produce should be between 1.xxx and 5.5. Mine is 143.10!!!! He said that is the second highest number he has ever seen and that is not good. So, I have to take a pill once a day at least for the next 4 weeks and go back. He gave me a slip to be off work, but I came back. I may take tomorrow off and hit the cabin early this weekend. He says this is definitely why I have *MAJOR* water retention, muscle tiredness, and forgetfulness. Thank goodness there is a reason to this madness.

Well, that is about it...he told me again that little Miss Samantha is above average. I am SO proud!!! Gotta love a doc like that!!!!

What in the hell????

Well, I don't have any info on what is causing me to be so swollen or the muscle tireness yet. I have a doctor appt. on Thursday to go over the blood work, so I hope to have some answers then.

But...here is my "what in the hell???" Well, if you have been reading my blog for a while, then you know the issues that I have with my biological father. Well...his wife (the one I really can't stand) has bought them tickets to come up here and see Samantha and I!!!!

I haven't seen him in a little over 6 years... you know....I am a little nervous! Ok, back to work for me now...just had to let you in on that.

I will post more after my appt. on Thursday!

Update...

Well, little Miss Samantha had her 4 month well baby check up today. She is weighing in at 14 lbs. 11 oz. and is 24.75" long. She is at the 75th percentile for both height and weight. The doctor says that she is way ahead on her motor skills. I knew that she was a smart baby. So, she has been rolling over here and there for a week or so, but yesterday, she mastered it. She is also a little scooter. Jer can't leave her alone in the floor for any length of time. Yesterday he sat her down on her blanket, ran to throw some laundry in the wash, came back and she was half way across the living room! That was on her back...wait until she starts crawling.

Me...well, the dr. did a blood draw on me for water retention, fatigue, and extreme muscle tiredness that I have been having lately. He is going to check my thyroid and I actually have an appt. to go over the results with him next week. Hopefully, this is nothing serious and will be easy to fix. I need to get it taken care of so I can get started on some kind of exercise regimen.

That is about it...I hope that all of my IPP girls know that I am thinking about them! Love ya girls!!!!

We're back...

And we had a great time. Time goes by way too fast when you are visiting family. Samantha was great on the plane. Slept the whole flight there and all but the first 20 mins on the flight home! I am so proud. She made her great great grandmother VERY happy!

Vacation...

Well, we are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning! I am excited to go, but most of you know how I feel about flying. I have a feeling that the baby will do better than me.

So, anyway, we are headed out to Texas in the morning and I am so nervous. I really hate to fly anymore, but I have to keep reminding myself of what awaits us at the other end...my 94 year old great grandmother that can't wait to see the baby! It is going to be one "Happy Mother's Day!"

Not much...

Samantha is doing much better. She is over her stomach bug. She still throws up every now and then, but it is much better. We think that she has a couple of teeth coming in. They aren't in the front, like everything you read says that they should be. They don't seem to bother her, so I am just going to wait and see what happens.

We took a long weekend to Buffalo for Jer to go turkey hunting with his dad and brother. We had a nice time. We drove through the states and it took us about 7 hours on the way there and about 6 1/2 on the way back. Samantha did so good! I hope she does that good with out trip to TX this Friday!

Well, I am so tired of being fat...so I ordered a pilates dvd on ebay today. I need something else to try. Since the pg, I am having knee and joint pains like you wouldn't believe. My muscles seem to get tired quicker...I even notice it right now while typing or when I am writing something. I feel so disgusting and I am tired of being in pain.

Quick update...

Well, I feel like I have been slacking on an update, but it hasn't really been all that long. Well, the baby is just getting over a 24 hour +/- a few hours bug. She was throwing up and having diahhrea. I felt so bad for her. From the day before yesterday (evening) to yesterday evening, she had maybe kept 3 oz down. She seems to be feeling much better now. She ate 6 oz last night and kept the majority of it down with a bit of normal spit up and she had 4 oz when she got up this morning (also kept the majority of it down...she did have a touch more spit though). I guess that I should add...on 3/29 she weighed 11lbs. 3 oz. Yesterday she was at a whooping 13 lbs. 10 oz. 2 1/2 lbs in right at a month. Damn! She is growing way too fast for me. She has come a long way from that day she weighed 5 lbs. 4 oz...it is just so amazing!

I don't really have any updates on me. Jer is still looking for a job. Hoping that something will come along soon. I had a great visit with my family...I am looking forward to getting to TX. She knows that we are coming and she can't wait to see the baby...

Not a lot has been going on around here. Jer's parents came in for Easter and we had a big dinner at our house. We had his parents, my mom and stepdad, and my step dads parents over. It was really nice.

Now, I have family in from Texas. It is so great having family come for a visit. They are staying over at my mom's. We are all going to my parents cabin for the weekend! It should be a good time...I think that they are calling for mid 60's.

Jer, Samantha, and I are making a trip to Texas on May 12th. My 94 year old grandma really wants to see Samantha, so we got the plane tickets and are looking forward to seeing her. I am really nervous about the plane trip with the baby, but a 2 1/2 hour flight is much better than a 19 hour drive.

Samantha is sleeping in her own bed now. She will sleep for about 5 or 6 hours and then wake up hungry. We put her in bed with us when she gets up to eat. I think we are going to have to start putting her back in her crib after her feeding, because she doesn't seem to sleep more than 2 hours or so after we go back to bed. She is doing really good and growing like crazy. If you go by the date that she was born, she hit 3 months yesterday, even though she is really 13 weeks today!

I hope all of my IPP girls know that I am thinking about them.
Ally...I hope that your leg heals quick and that the IUI takes and you will be holding a little one in your arms before you know it.
Les...same thing to you...minus the whole leg thing ;)
Jamie...I am sorry that you have been having such a hard time lately! You are in my thoughts. If there is anything that I can do for you, let me know.

Doctor Appointment...

Well, Samantha had her 2 month check up yesterday at 9 weeks and 5 days. She is up to a whopping 11 lbs 3 oz and she is 22.5" long. She is growing like crazy. I am telling you...she is a real trooper. She was so good at the appointment, and then she got 3 shots. She did some screaming and I felt horrible, but before we were out of the office, she was calmed down. Her next appointment is on May 31. That is a great day....it was one year ago that I got a positive pregnancy test for her and the day that my life changed forever!

After her appointment, grandma took her home and I went to the dentist. I ended up getting 5 shots in my mouth and it wasn't even completely numb....that sucked.

Oh well....the things we go through to stay healthy!

Oh, did I mention that Jeremy is now offically unemployed! Damn it sucks...luckily we have a little money put aside that will hopefully last us until he has another job. He has now stepped into the world of a stay at home dad (this better be short lived). I am so jealous...I want to be home with her! Anyway, please say a prayer that he gets another job soon!

Guess who?????

After almost a year, the person that you rarely want to visit and you are ALWAYS happy to see go, showed up knocking at my door and when I didn't answer, she came right in. Yes, that is right...she, the evil witch, has once again made her presence known. It is almost as if she never left. I suppose that it is time, I knew it wouldn't last for ever, I was just hoping for a little bit longer.

The baby is still sick. I almost think it is getting worse. I think the congestion is moving to her chest now. She has a regular doctor appointment next Wednesday. I am giving her Pedia Care decongestant and cough every 12 hours or so, and using the saline nasal drops to help clear her out along with using the nasal aspirator.

It is really kind of funny, because I always thought that my mom was full of shit when she would say..."trust me, this hurts me more than it does you." You know what...SHE.WAS.RIGHT. As much as I hate to admit that, it tears my heart out hearing her cry, and hearing her wheezing and having a heck of a time breathing due to the congestion. It really does hurt. Of course now I am getting sick and I have a sore throat along with stuffiness and a cough. This sucks. I pray that she gets over it quickly!

Sick baby...UPDATED...

Well, first I want to say...

Ok, I have a sick baby. I have to take her in to the doctors at 11:30 today. She is coughing and congested. I feel so sorry for her. But, she is still a happy baby. She is having a few bouts of fussiness, but all in all, she is a happy baby. She was smiling and giggling a bit last night and earlier this morning. She is such a good baby.

Well, I will let ya know what the doc says and if I have to give her any medicine.

3-22-06:

Samantha is OK...looks like she just has nasal congestion. The doctor said to give her infant tylenol if she gets extremely fussy. (Only gave her half a dropper full about 2 am today). Also she said to get some saline nasal drops and use those to help clear her out and use the aspirator. We ran the vaporizer for a couple of hours to help her as well.

Well, she is definitely eating well. Monday was 8 weeks from her first doctors appt. (1-23-06 and she was weighing in at 5 lbs. 4 oz.), so yesterday she weighed 10 lbs. 12.5 oz. I can't believe that she has already doubled her weight. We didn't see our regular doctor, so I think he is going to be in shock next week at her regular check up.

Date Night....

Last night Jer and I went out on a date...we went out to eat and then to see the broadway production of the Lion King. It was a great show. That was the first musical that I have ever been to. I loved it. We had a great time.

Not a lot is going on around here. I am enjoying every minute that I can with Samantha. I have to go back to work on the 8th and I am really dreading it.

Hello...

Well, Samantha had a doctor appointment today and she is growing like a weed.

At birth: 5 lbs. 10 oz and 18 & 1/4 inches.
Today: 8 lbs 5.5 ozs. and 22 inches.

I swear she is getting prettier every day.

We got dsl hooked up today, so I will be updating the pictures more frequently. She also got a Hep B shot and is pretty cranky, so I had better get off of here for now. I will try to start updating more often.

Quick post...

Well, I just wanted to apologize for being such a terrible blogger since I had Samantha. It seems that when she is asleep, I am trying to get a nap, do dishes, laundry, or some house cleaning. It also doesn't help that I have dial-up and it seems like it takes forever to get this to work. I am looking into DSL, but then I wonder if it will be worth it since I will be going back to work in about 2 weeks and will do the majority of my posting and all of that from there.

Well, I just wanted to let all of my IPP girls know that I am thinking about all of you. I miss talking to all of you so much. That is probably the only reason that I am looking forward to going back to work.

As for some of my new readers...thanks for stopping in and for the input! I really do appreciate it.
