the idea inicially was to give my mother in law (92 years old) some work to do during her visit here. she liked it so much and couldn't stop making hexagons, which "forced" me to actually start a real project. so that was my project "to go"during many trips, by car, plane and train! it's been over 3 years working on it! many, many gentle and master other hands helping me as well as donating scraps!
many other iniciatives of great value, such as dear hedy sending me the back fabric.
bÃĄrbara by taking the top to brazil (brasilia) to be finished and bringing it back done.
and dear maria luiza, one of the wonderful "quilteiras do cerrado" who organized this work to be finished, and finally galeana who made an excellent work on the quilt! the whole finalizing process was decided by these fabulous artists and result couldn't be any better!
ALL of you who took part on this project i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
