Home updates.

It's been few and far between that I have worked on my house lately. Did some cabint painting in my bathroom. I want to do this in the kitchen eventually but started small in this room that most don't see. :)

 I found these awesome knobs on amazon for super cheap. I even installed them myself! :) 

I also ordered some contact paper that i used inside all the cupboards.  Chevron is the way to go for right now. It felt good to have some house progression. Still endless amounts of things to do, and honestly most of them won't get done! That's just the way it is until I get a little help.

Vegas with Emily

Went to Vegas with Emily. She was headed there for the weekend to meet up with her Mom and Brother. I guess I just wasn't in the mood to stay home. I booked a hotel and the Stratosphere and went along! We saw the Mandalay Bay Exhibit, we also did the Titanic exhibit which was really cool! They didn't let us take any pictures inside, if you ever get the chance to go, DO IT! The recreate the deck and they have a big piece of ice inside that you can touch. It was just so awesome. 

 Here is Emily touching a stingray. I got to touch one to! It was my first time and was very cool! Feels all weird. Dolphin is still my favorite thing to pet, as far as the feel of it. 

Since we were staying in the Stratosphere we got to go to the top for free. Found out Emily is afraid of heights! Who knew! lol

Meeting her mom was SO FUN. Emily is a riot and now I understand why! Her mom was so nice and sweet. We walked around shopping, went out to eat, and saw a movie at a theatre inside the casino/hotel she was staying at. So fun to meet her mom since she knows my parents so well. 

3RD Annual Masquerade

Had my 3rd Annual Masquerade this year. It is always so much fun to see everyone dressed up. Also, I love a good Annual event. It's something you can count on, and nowadays, there isn't much that you can.

Max's Birthday

Happy birthday to Max! He turns 7!

He is the sweetest, most sensitive kid! We went to watch a dinosaur movie about a week and a half after his birthday   

Christmas 2013

Christmas was a lot of fun this year! It was like the christmas that keeps in giving. 

I tried something new with my hair. You like it? I was pleased. 

My bestie was in town with her HUBBY! She let me come to the farm and pick some oranges, then we made some fresh orange juice. It.was.fantastic. A great Christmas memory in the books! 

Jayrod planned a christmas celebration at Butcher Jones. It was fantastic. We took our offroad toys and guns and food and had a blast. I really like hanging out with this group .there are no expectations, or "normal" social ques. It's far game and everyone is always excepted. I like that.

Did you know bullets make great ear plugs while shooting? haha Pointing 2 bullets towards my brain was a bit concerning but I trusted Jay and went with it. lol.

For Christmas Christmas the family went up to Eagar and stayed with mom and dad (at Joann's house). We had everyone there but Tyson's family (Kim was about to pop with baby number 5) and Dallin (serving his mission in Idaho).

Did a little run with Lindsey and Robyn. They are training for the Phoenix Marathon. Dem girls are nuts. I think I did 3 miles and they did 4. get it gurlz!

Chloe, Max, and I did a little Spa Science! We made bath salts, bubbles, and scrubs. It was actually a lot of fun. I am not sure how they worked out but they smelled amazing! Lavendar and peppermint! 

Lindsey made dad yard Yatzee and Beau spent a fair amount of time stacking them up.

The start of THE PUZZLE of 2014. Lindsey got dad a candy cane puzzle. I am blogging this february 28th and dad isn't even half way through. haha Lets hope he finishes it before next christmas!

After Christmas everyone came down to the valley to spend some time with Tyson and Kim since we missed them for Christmas. Each night or day we had a meal at a different person's house. It was the progressive dinner that never ended. LOL. Everyone has a different style of hosting so it was so much fun to spend time in different homes.

Looks like I didn't get pictures of the tree and presents but I am okay with that. Family is my favorite part of the holidays and I got plenty of it. like, plently. I was ready to have some alone time by the time it was all said and done. haha

I needed a little nap time like Beau here. 

Mexico, Jayrod style

This trip was unlike any other Mexico trips I have taken. Jayrod knows how to have a good time. 

We stayed at the far end of Las Conchas. We were the ONLY guests of the hotel. There are only a handful of rooms completed in the entire building. It is a gorgeous place and we enjoyed being able to have fun and not bother anyone.

On this trip we saw a legit drug deal go down. Someone on the beach signaled in a drug boat, had a truck drive down to the beach without it's lights on. There was someone walking back and forth from the boat to the truck. Then the truck took off into the desert! It was so insane. I have never seen anything like that before while in Mexico.

Too cold for a swim and sadly the hot tub didn't work. :( 

Denim, me, Kristine. It was pretty cold, so we just rode the ski in our sweaters.

Tk and Jayrod brought their toys and we had a blast. 

The tide would go out and massive amounts of birds would come around to eat the sealife. While driving through them you gotta protect your head!
