Getting ready for the BIG day....

Dani dreamt of this day for a long time. Reminding Alicia OFTEN that she was to make sure she had off from work so that she could be home in time to get her ready. She LOVES having her big sister get her all dolled up....

In April, Andrea and Chris graduated from the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. I was able to be with them and enjoy all of the excitement. We are proud of them!

Futbol Rapido...

Dani has been playing soccer in an enclosed field/court. I enjoy watching this so much more than out on a regular field. There is a lot more action! Today she made two goals!! She's smiling tonight!!

The big FREEZE!!!!

In February we experienced subzero weather and a few flurries. I enjoyed staying close to the fireplace and didn't realize....

...that in another part of the house there was a water leak... ..until Lester saw water spraying out from the bricks on the outside of the house...

So, by the time the water leak was discovered in the adobe wall, we had a mud slide coming out from the bathroom into the hallway.

January 2011 Cruise

In January the Koby clan gathered for a cruise to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday... Here Pop and Mom are searching for their family...

There will have to be a card game going on somewhere! Since we all gathered on New Year's Eve for the wedding, we arranged for the conference room in the hotel to bring in the New Year with family, snacks and games! FUN!!

Waiting to find out where our new reservations were going to be.

In a previous post you saw the photos of a beautiful Winter Wonderland in Show Low, AZ. While there our hotel sprang a leak! For a number of hours the water was shut off...hmm no showers, flushing toliets and we had a wedding to get ready for!! After a while we were notified that we had to all pack up and move to another hotel...no big deal but in sub-zero weather it was! Plus, due to the water everywhere the elevator was shut down. We never did find out if they decided if the flood was caused from snow on the roof or a break in the main water line.

OUCH!!!!

About nine months ago Kyle had a snowboarding accident and had to have a plate put into his shoulder. He suffered the majority of the time since the surgery. Surgery to remove the plate was scheduled to happen here. Prior to surgery we found out why he had been so miserable...in an xray we could see that the plate had a hook on the end of it. So everytime he moved the hook would rub. He is feeling wonderful now that he is plate free!!! We were thrilled to have him and his family here for a few days.

Hurray....Amaya came to visit!

We were so excited to have sweet, little Amaya come for a visit. Yes, her parents were here too. These little ones bring so much joy when they are around. The house was filled with laughter and so much activity. Grandpa and Amaya were in constant motion....Grandpa was exhausted by the end of each day. After she went home, Kyle called because Amaya just had to talk with her Grandpa.
