Something new!

so i am officially they suckiest blogger in the world but hey at least i come on a post every once and a while...

so not much new has been going on in our lives. recently we have been working in jesse claus' new town home that he just bought and it is a lot of work but a lot of fun... plus we are getting paid for all our hard work! : )

we are also doing indoor soccer! brian is way excited.. sometimes a little too excited and gets too competitive, but i can't rip on his too much because i do too a times. it has been lots of fun taylor my our brother in law is playing with us and 2 of his co workers, kali and sara( who are hell-arious by the way) and tim brians brother, my friend from high school rachel moorhead. she is fun to watch because she has no idea what she is doing but somehow she still accomplishes to kick butt. Brian and i's friend sam hill is on our team as well... and about 5 others. it has been a lot of fun. we haven't won a game yet but we like to blame it on our team bing old and out of shape! :)

And here comes the funny part... brian has realized that he is getting old at 26! yeah he is a dork and wrong... but he keeps getting hurt and has cuts and bruises all over himself. pulled groin and who knows what else. me on the other hand i am awesome because i don't pull muscles when i am doing a light jog! ha ha ... sorry brian i love you ! :)

i can't wait for summer! it is may and we are still getting snow in the mountains and our highs here in the valley are in the 60's ... but thankfully this weekend i can sun tan. it will be 84 degrees! hhhhhooooraaa! i will ahve to cover my burnt hand but man oh man i can't wait to enjoy my favorite past time! GETTING BURNT! lets be honest there is nothing better then a warm day relaxing in the sun, taking a nap and just doing nothing! really i could do it everyday.... oh wait that is what i did all last summer. My life ROCKS!

anywho there is my little update diddy.

awh.... look how beautiful... as of 20 march 2010 this is what my fingers look like..... it is all smooth and has no wrinkles, way weird but fun non the less..... my scars have healed well on my arm and wrist but will definitely always be seen... my 1st and second degree burns on my thumb, knuckles , and and wrist are almost all the way healed and have minimal scaring so that's good.... i have about 95-98 % mobility back in my fingers... the doc said i would be luck if i got 50% back... ha showed him... and right now i am just wearing finger socks on both fingers to reduce scaring so hopefully in the next moth i won't have to wear anything and i can start living normally somewhat.... it will take one to two years for color to go back... so all is well and yahoo for the priesthood and tithing... i knew my fire insurance would come in handy after all these years. : )

SO SAD

so i found out today that i do have to get skin grafts... so sad and so EXPENSIVE!!! so what they are going to do is take skin from my thigh and put it on my fingers. so i get to have anesthesia for the first time and i am a little nervous but i have faith all will be well. so thats what is going on now... i will keep everyone posted with what goes down.

Gross? !!

so recently i got some 3rd degree bruns on my fingers/ hand.... here's how it went down.

i decided to make home made egg rolls, yum right? so i am getting the oil hot so i can cook them, the oil starts to get hot so i ask brian to come and lift the lid off so i can put the roll in, but it had gotten too hot that when he lifted the lid tons of crazy lung burning smoke come out and he goes into the other room to get the smoke out of his eyes... well while he does that i pull the lid back off and boom! smoke everywhere and 2 foot flames coming out of the pot in my kitchen... the next thing bian see is me running to our back patio with flames everywhere and he is way confused. so as i go to throw the pot on the patio the hot oil flings back and spills all over my hand as the pot slams on the ground and the flames start crawling up the wooden fence.. smart right? not so much but it was in the heat of the moment.. well seconds really. so i calmly tell brian to go put the fire on our back patio out and he is all crebobbled and still not 100% sure what is going down, but he goes and starts to put it out and while he is doing them i let him know that my hand is burnt and he need to take me to the er! and again he is confused cuz at this point he has no idea that my hand has 3rd degree burns all over my hand and that my clothes almost caught on fire. ( i like how i have to be the calm one out of this whole situation so brian doesn't freak and pass out) but once the fire was out i told him i was burnt and we need to book it. so by now i filled up a bowl of water with my hand in it and brian is turning everything off, then i see the stove is on fire so i thow my bowl of water onto the fire to put it out... not smart i know but everything was turned off so it was all good... so we go to the er get all my burnt and excess skin cut off and boy was the morphine a trip! anywho its bad and i find out tuesday if i need to go and get skin graphs for my fingers. no bueno and way expensive and painful. there was a lot of other things that happend inbetween but then i would have to write a novel with all the cool, funny and sad stories in there. but thanks for everyones prayer and fasting and the wonderful priesthood, i know for a fact this would of been much worse had brian and our friend nate didn't give me a blessing. so now all i can do is hope and pray for a miracle come tomorrow!
