Twilight
Hahahahahahaha!
Some books should STAY as books! Why is there no originality in the world anymore? Every movie that comes out these days is a remake, a sequel (or prequel), or based off a book. WHERE IS AN ORIGINAL IDEA? And when there is an original idea, DON'T MAKE A SEQUEL (I'm thinking, of coarse, of movies like Pirates of the Caribbean. They should have left it alone!)
Twilight just seems silly because in books, things can work better then they can in movies. EVERYTHING that happens in Twilight (the book) cannot work as a movie. The movie comes across corny and unintentionally funny!
Just leave some books alone! They messed up Eragon. They messed up Harry Potter (at least the third one). And now they messed up Twilight.
Hahahahahahaha!
Plot: 6/10-- Yes! It is interesting! BUT AS A BOOK!
Consistency: 6/10-- They can't fit a 500 page book into one movie. It rushes into things.
Believability: 6/10-- No. No, no, no, no.
Characters: 9/10-- Vampires are pretty cool...
Script/Dialogue: 6/10-- WAY too mushy!
Actors: 6/10-- There were some good actors. But there were ALOT of bad actors.
Camera Work: 8/10-- Great camera work. The angles are great.
Special Effects: 5/10-- You might as well be able so see the wires on the actors.
Visual Display: 10/10-- Great shots of Washington's stormy mountains.
Romance: 7/10-- (sarcastic)It's a great romance movie!(end sarcastic) Hahahahahah!
Extra Points/Notes: (-2) for ruining the book. (+5) for great soundtrack (Muse, Radiohead, Linkin Park, etc.) (+3) for great scenery. Them mountains are pretty!
TOTAL: 75 points

The Killers new album Day & Age came out today! I got it first thing in the morning. It's a great CD! Ten awesome tracks.

Quantum Of Solace
Before I start the review I want to show you my new grading scale. From now on all movies will be given points in each of the following categories (ten points in each category):
Plot: Is the plot interesting? Does it pull you in?
Consistency: Does the storyline flow? Or does it jump around?
Believability: Is it too far out there with stunts, proportions, timing, etc? Are there any plot flaws?
Characters: Are the characters interesting? Is there character development?
Script/Dialogue: Any confusing, crude, or un-related dialogue?
Actors: Do the actors do their job right?
Camera Work: Does the camera man do his/her job right?
Special Effects: Stunts, graphics, and camera tricks. Are they good?
Visual Display: Scenery and location is important! Is it there?
Genre: Does it play well as an action/comedy/romance/etc?
Extra Points/Notes: Last chance to get the points up. Anything that I notice in the movie that I liked.
The total will be out of 100 points, plus bonus points.
Grading Scale:
A = 96-100
A- = 91-95
B+ = 86-90
B = 81-85
B- = 76-80
C+ = 71-75
C = 66-70
C- = 61-65
D+ = 56-60
D = 51-55
D- = 46-50
F = 45 and lower

This should be called a ramble rather then a review. Haha. . . Anyway. . .
Please note that I am focusing more on the things I did not like. If I were to write on all the things I did like, then there would be pages and pages of rambling. That is why I created the new grading scale, so that readers can get a better view of what the movie was like, rather then getting the wrong idea from my rambling of things that bugged me. Haha.
Continuing from the hit 2006 film Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace picks up pretty much the next day. It has all the thrills and action scenes you'd expect from a James Bond movie; but does it have what it takes to live up to Casino Royale?
Out of all the James Bond movies out there (I believe this is the 22nd) I am only a fan of Daniel Craig's movies (Casino and Quantum). The other ones are too much for me with the silly gadgets and corny pick up lines. However, Daniel Craig's two films I love. They have no silly gadgets, dumb pick up lines, or impossible stunts performed. They are more believable.
Quantum of Solace is a great film. Not half as good as Casino Royale, however. All it is is a follow-up from Casino, with Bond seeking solace from the death of his girlfriend, risking his mission with revenge.
The action sequences, although superbly done, remind me too much of the Bourne movies. Compared to Casino, this one is a bit dull. It has a car chase, a rooftop chase, and the usual hand-to-hand combat/gunfire. Overall, nothing special. It's all been done before. However, the action sequences, although unoriginal, are choreographed EXTREMELY well. The actors (namely Daniel Craig) are convincable actors and do a great job playing the violent part.
Now I wouldn't say the storyline is boring; it keeps you interested, but not an "at-the-edge-of-your-seat" interested. You find yourself waiting for some action, and you find yourself waiting for the action to be over. It's not evenly spread out.
Don't pass this movie as a fail though. This is on my top ten recommendations of movies to see in 2008. It's a great film, but with a few pot holes. All movies have some. If you've got the time and money to see a movie, then this should be the one to see.

Visual Display: 10/10-- Great shots of Austria, Italy and South America!
Genre: 6/10-- It was a cookie cutter action film. Reminded me too much of the Bourne movies, albeit the action sequences were professionally done.
Extra Points/Notes: +5 points for great soundtrack, not only with the 007 theme, but also with the song played in the opening credits "Another Way To Die" made exclusively for Quantum Of Solace with Jack White (The White Stripes) and Alicia Keys. Awesome.
TOTAL: 89 points.
