1st!!

Tomorrow is my BABY's first day of preschool. I can't believe he is old enough! He has never napped at a school! I am trying hard to let go. I know he'll be fine. I know he will. But Whitfield, one day when you are all grown, I know I will look at you and remember how worried I was this day. I am worried my sweet baby's heart will hurt and be scared. He doesn't like new things much. He loves them onece he gets used to it, but it always breaks my heart to see him so scared! Kennedy starts pre-k tomorrow. I am so proud of her. She is so excited about it. She will walk into a big huge elementary school tomorrow She's my child that loves something new. She's not scared one bit. They are so different! I can't believe it! Time sure does fly!

So, tonight, this sentimental mommy is documenting how I feel. I am proud of them. They are hard at times, but such a joy to raise. Everyday I have thanked God for them. Yet, everyday has just FLOWN by! I know all too soon the days will be gone. At least I know that I tried to soak them in. Tonight I am excited for the steps they are taking. I am a little sad too. I love watching them grow and learn. It's only the beginning......so much to look forward too.

I love you Kennedy and Whit!

Pictures to come soon!

9 Years and more blessings than I can count!

9 years ago today, I walked down the aisle of one of the most beautiful church's in Georgia, Christ Church Frederica. I tripped going down the aisle because my huge dress got caught between my legs. I remember the laughter that everyone needed at that moment because half of our families were already crying. I was young and in love. I had so much ahead of me. I had thought of that moment for so long. It was absolutely all I ever dreamed of and more. I remember looking into Greg's eyes and knowing how right what we were doing was. I love a wedding. I still do. I love celebrating the love two people have for each other. In this day and age, marriages don't last forever. I am so incredibly thankful for the man God chose for me to marry. He's not perfect, and I don't expect him to be. I am definitely not perfect. If you know me at all you know that. We've walked through so much in the past 9 years. From living in a barn, buying a house, losing a baby we so desperately wanted, struggled for a year with infertility, had two precious miracles born within a year and a half of each other.....I could continue, but I won't.
Tonya's cancer only reassured to me to live life to the fullest and appreciate each moment. She always has to remind me to stop worrying about my clean house and just have fun. I tell myself that a lot too. She's got it right in that. We need to enjoy each moment. I've started being better about saying thanks to God each day. I got to laugh with my kids today. For that I am so thankful. Now, at the end of the fun at the pool they were both screaming. I will admit I was not so thankful for that. Yet, somehow we forget those moments and remember the laughter. They are what is important. Greg and I have such dear friends and family. You've helped us walk through so much. 9 years ago, my little family started. I sit here today in awe of a God that truly does know the plans He has for us. I just had to learn to sit and wait to find out what was in store. It truly is beyond all I ever imagined. I am so incredibly blessed and that I owe to our God who loves us so.

Thank you Lord for my family. I'm not worthy, yet very humble, of the blessing I have received. May you always watch over us. Help Greg and I lead our family to know you. What a wonderful life. Amen.

Happy Anniversary Gregory. I know sometimes I don't say I appreciate you, but today....total appreciation. I love you!

Brother Sister Love

Just a quick story for my sake.....

We did an early birthday dinner with Whit before Greg left for Texas. We were about to sing to Whit when Kennedy decided she needed to get up for something. Greg and I were looking for the lighter for the candles when Whit yells from the table, "WAIT! WAIT! We can't sing without Ken-Dady!" I looked at Greg, tears welling up in my eyes....I LOVE how much they love each other. It was such a brief moment, that they will soon forget. He doesn't know the meaning of it. But me, the mommy, takes those words to heart. I love how worried I was before he was born I thought I was ruining Kennedy's world. I tell everyone I know that has kids as close as mine how great a thing they are doing for their children. In the midst of the baby stage, it is so, so hard. Now, 3 years later, I am seeing so many benefits to it. He loves her so much. She loves him just as much. My heart absolutely melts at moments like these. Sappy mommy, I know, but it's who I am. I love these precious miracles and how they have grown. I love the people that they are. They make me absolutely crazy sometimes, but every moment is worth it. That moment was worth 10 of the bad ones. I love you so much, my babies. I am so very glad you have each other. I hope you always love each other this much!

A Child's Prayer

Sundays are always hectic around here. We usually get to church around 9:20 and it is the 9:01 service. I try my hardest each Sunday! Today Greg woke up with a migraine. I really wanted to go to church, so I decided I could handle both of them by myself. He is feeling pretty crummy and the kids get worried about him. On the way to church I hear Kennedy say something like, "we need to pray for Daddy." I take that opportunity to tell her it would be a great idea to ask God to make Daddy feel better. She says, very strongly, "No, Mommy! I already did that!" I've never heard her say that she prayed for something all on her own! Then we get to church and the sermon is about doing things full force, and not starting strong and the quitting. He talked about our prayer life and how we should stay strong in praying. I smiled at that because my daughter, the 4 year old, taught me a lesson today. I need to spend more time praying all on my own. I pray all the time, but I am sure that God would like to hear from me more. Thanks, Kennedy, you are wise beyond your years. I am sure God was smiling when He heard that prayer today.

Almost 3!!!

We celebrated Whit's 3rd birthday on Saturday. :) Greg has to be out of town for his actual birthday so we decided to have it early. He had a blast! We had a pool party with a tractor theme. The boy loves a tractor!

There is something very special about a birthday when you are a parent. I remember every minute of the days before their arrivals in the world. That day, was so perfect. I did not have hard labors at all, and every minute was worth the outcome. I do it over in a second. It is by far one of the best days of my life. Seeing that sweet face for the first time, holding them in your arms after waiting for so long.....oh it is such a precious moment! Seeing my little miracles grow is even sweeter. But every year as we come near the day of their births, I am always even more thankful than usual. I love watching my little surprise grow up. All children are miracles, and mine are no different, they are just special miracles to me. Whit was what we never knew we could have. He was a miracle to even the doctors! God just needed him here with us and I will forever be thankful for that. I love looking at him some days thinking, what in the world would we do without him? It would be a lot quieter around here that is for sure. We would also use a LOT less bandaids! ;) But God's plan was greater than my own, and here he is. He makes us all laugh uncontrollably. His songs will put you in the best mood. He can turn on the charm in an instant. If I am ever in need of a snuggle, hug, or kiss to make me feel better, he's where I head first! There's so much sweetmess in my little ball of energy. He keeps us on our toes, but he also fills my house with such joy and laughter. Whatever you want to call him, he is the man of many names around here...Whitty Whit, Whitty Woo, WHITFIELD DANIEL!! We love you will all of our hearts. Happy 3rd Birthday sweet boy!

Fernandina 2011

Some people think we are weird. I swear we didn't plan on living right next door to each other. It really just worked out that way. We have the kind of friendship I wish everyone on earth could experience. It's more like family, but somehow we fight less than family. Greg and Chad go WAY, WAY, back. I love that. Now our two families spend a week together each year. I like that our kids are friends the way that Drew, Chad, Greg and Court are. Friends are a gift. I am always so thankful to have the Prossers in our lives.....ALL of them! We had a fun week at the beach. These are just a few of my favorites. I couldn't sit and upload all 300 of them. I was getting bored waiting. ;) Enjoy a glimpse at our beach trip!

I am always so sad it's over. I love waking up to the sound of the waves crashing. I love reading my book on the beach while the kids play. I love how they laugh over and over again as they jump in the waves. I love a dip in the pool that overlooks the ocean. I love drinking my cup of coffee on the balcony every morning. I love the Surf. I love making time to play cards everynight and laugh. I love spending time with family. I love it all so much. Good thing we get to do it all over again next year! See you next year Fernandina!
