July at the beach....take 6 (the castle)

from Jen's phone:

July at the beach....take 5 (Go karts)

Week of July 12

Mark, Trey, Peyton and Jack went racin'

July at the beach....take 4 (The boys on the beach)

Week of July 12

Mark, Jen and Jack came down and the kids stayed out on the beach for 5+ hours each day! We had to FORCE Peyton and Jack to come rest long enough to suck down a juice box and they were right back out there again! Even Forrest had a good time.

Jen did have to name him Terdzilla after he pooped behind her chair! And, the term "Doo-Doo bomb" was coined. (we listened to it all the way home!...I'm sure Gigi will be proud!)

July at the beach....take 3 (Icecream Man)

Week of July 12

Forrest learns to say (very well, I might add) "STOP ice cream man!"

July at the beach....take 2 (Trey and boys)

Week of July 12

I had family portraits to do on July 13, so Trey, the boys and I went down for most of the week. Mark, Jen and Jack joined us and we really had a fantastic time catching up....it's been way too long! And, the boys were great!
Forrest took this!

Checking out the baby clams

Peyton was only going to get his feet wet!!! (YEAH RIGHT!)

First Stitches....

Dee and I came home from the beach on July 3rd, and on July 4th, I was getting the boys ready to go to Sedley with Granny for the festivities. In a race to the death to see who could answer the door for her first, Forrest took a fall and busted his chin open on the cast iron legs of an antique sewing machine. when he turned to look at me, his mouth was FULL of blood. I just knew that all of his teeth had been knocked out. when I grabbed him, though, I realized that he had all of his teeth, but that his chin was SPURTING blood at him!!! I thought I might faint!!!

But, that was nothing compared to the holding my baby down in the ER so they c
ould stitch his chin!!

Fortunately, he was a really big boy for the removal!!

Hopefully, we will not have to relive this anytime soon. However, I am quite sure that is a wish that I may not be granted! I can just see it in his eyes.... (and besides, Aunt Lou says Forrest is our Sonny!)

Have you ever seen a picture that is anymore "boy" that this...dirty, red hot, sweaty, stitched up and tough!

These pictures are from 7/6, the day before we had them out.
