December

In December, Courtney went shopping at Big 5 with dad, Courtney learned her fingers fit nicely in her nose, playing with cousins, Emily and Masen's proposal/engagement, a lost tooth, the aquarium, Christmasy dresses, pictures by the Christmas tree, Christmas activities at school, tired Courtney during dinner, Kylie's wishlist "harley quinn barbie because she is adorable", Christmas movies with popcorn and lots of butter", donut date, dr appointments, and City Creek dinner and shopping with the Phillips clan.

Christmas Eve and Day

Christmas Eve was on Sunday this year and so nice.  We played some games, the girls got new Christmas dresses and jewelry, we went to church and took pictures, then went to Grandma and Grandpa Shurtz's house and acted out the birth of Jesus story.  We played and had dinner and came home and opened jammies and the girls exchanged their presents for each other.  Kylie got a stuffed animal seal, Kate got a barbie from the show Spirit, and Courtney got a baby.  We put out milk and cookies and carrots for Santa nad the reindeer and went to bed.

Christmas morning started early and was magical.  Kate got a scooter, Kylie got a gymnastics mat, Courtney got a bouncy horse, and they all got a few other things from Santa and us.  They also got a bounce house.  We went to Shurtz's for breakfast and played games, opened presents, and ate again.

December Traditions

We have so many things we try to do every year in December and some new this year that hopefully will be traditions.

Luminaria at Thanksgiving point with the Shurtz Family. It was freezing so luckily Grandma and Grandpa brought hot chocolate and cookies.  Walking through the Christ statues was amazing and the spirit was SO strong.  I loved it!

Windows at the Grand America - We had to go on Saturday this time because of school and it was SO crazy busy but we still enjoyed it for a minute.
