St. Mary's Game

We finally made it out to St. Mary's to watch my cousin Missy play volleyball.  I couldn't find a shirt small enough for Kylie so I had to make her one.  It turned out ok but I learned as I went so my next attempt will be better.  Aunt Diana was in town so we got to see her and then they both came for dinner on Sunday.  It was SO nice to have some visitors.

Concord

Kayson had to go to Oakland for a couple days for work and ws going to stay the night. So.. we decided to take a little trip and meet him there to stay the night in Concord with him.  The hotel was nice and Kylie's first time in one.  When Kayson got done working, we went to Walnut Creek to have dinner at CPK.

We then went back to the hotel and put Kylie to bed.  It was a rough night to say the least.  She was up pretty much the whole night except for when we would hold her.  Apparently she does not like her pack and play.  We got very little sleep and then woke up and went to Denny's for Breakfast before we saw Kayson off to work again.

Then Kylie and I drove home to try to take some naps.  We don't get to go away much  or ever just as our little family and minus the lack of sleep it was really fun.

Mather Air Show

The Air Show is the highlight of this area.  Really the only thing that happens here so people were talking about it for months in advance.  Most of our friends had parties and such.  We decided to just stay home and watch from our front yard.  Kylie went swimming in her little pool and Kayson barbecued lunch for us.  It was a perfect afternoon.

10 Months

I cannot believe this girl is 10 months already.  I just feel her one year birthday coming soon and it just makes  ce so sad.  It's so fun but how did this happen.  How did she grow up so fast.  This last month has been crazy with things to write about. Kylie has learned a lot and reached a lot of milestones so I will try to remember them.

At 10 months:

She can finally crawl normally.  She just started this in the last couple days.  She has been army crawling for a long time but has just switched over.

She can pull herself up to the couch, the coffee table, our legs, our laps, the stove, whatever she wants.

She can walk around the table or across the couch while holding on

She has taken 2-3 steps by herself.  She needs a little help balancing before she starts

She runs in her walker until she runs into something and then turns and does it again.  She does laps around the island in the kitchen.

She stands up in her crib even though it is on the very lowest it can go.

She sleeps about 9-8

Her morning nap has shortened it seems.  Sometimes it is still 2 hours but usually not which has forced me to change my workout/shower time to before she wakes up

She feeds herself cheerios and sweet potato puffs.

She likes to drink water from a glass 

She throws tantrums and just puts her head down on her legs or on the ground to cry

She snapped her mobile in half

She can turn the lights on and off

And... she is still toothless, sporting the gums.

She is quite a character

Sunday and the River

On Grandma and Grandpa's last day with us, we went to church, had dinner and then went on a walk by the river.  It was a good day.

Kylie has just learned how to pull herself up to the table and stand and walk around it.  She wants to do it all day now.

She always sits in her stroller like this.  Holds onto the tray and never sits back to relax.  She just gets so excited.

Grandma and Grandpa's Visit

We have been so excited for Kayson's parents to come out and visit and it finally came during Labor Day weekend.  Kylie loved having people to entertain and make laugh and she loved the gifts they brought her of course.  They gave her this ladybug pillow pet and her very own pink laptop.  Thanks guys!

We took advantage of having family here to watch Kylie that Kayson and I went to the temple together for the first time since she has been born.  Now before you judge, the key word is together, we have been separately, but it was SO much better to go together and we are thankful for the babysitting.

Kayson and his dad worked on a lot of projects while he was here.  They got shelving up in the garage, fixed a couple broken/squeaky doors and did some other stuff outside that I didn't ask too many questions about I guess because I really don't know what they did.

We went to San Francisco, watched the BYU game, and Micki taught me how to make jam.  SO good by the way.  I have really missed it.

While they were here, she started to walk around the table.  She has been able to stand but not really move and just in the few days they were here, she can walk all the way across and turn the corners even.  We practiced walking a little and she took about 3 steps I think in a row.

Her new game was to stand up to the table and clear everything off it.  She likes a clean table I guess

San Francisco

We went to San Francisco about one year ago, I looked very pregnant and it was very cold.  This time it was still cold and ... we have Kylie.

We stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge first and unfortunately it was pretty foggy but still cool.

Then we drove around for a while and drove through China Town and then stopped and walked around pier 39 for a bit
