Day at the museum

Last week we went to the Museum of Natural History. There was so much to do and see! Our first stop...the poop room. It was very unique to say the least!

After the museum we walked downtown,stepped into Domestic Bliss, saw some of the statues and ate a yummy lunch at Sweet Cakes!! We had so much fun!

Dinner in the Desert

A few weeks ago we headed out to the desert for a family dinner. We had so much fun getting out and enjoying the weather!
Jason put his new camping grill to use, and cooked us some delicious hot dogs.

Devyn used her new flashlight and explored in the dark. She sat in her new chair by the campfire and got really tired of mom blinding her with the flash on the camera!

We love to celebrate birthdays.....because it means we get to eat cake!!!

christmas catch up

Christmas Eve party at Becky and Kenny's. After dinner we went on a real hayride!
During the ride we snapped a few pictures, and apparently that makes us the paparazzi and Devyn would just like to be left alone!
The grand kids always have a book exchange. Aunt Marina helped Beau open his very first present.

Things must have gotten a little wild during the unwrapping!

Opening and getting very excited about her Christmas jammies! She twirled around and around with them before putting them on.

Beau was excited about his new jammies too. Grandpa Secrist made him a beanie and it just happened to match!

Once we got home and got the kiddos to bed, Jason got to work on the KITCHEN. We had no idea that there would be so many pieces!

It's getting there..

Two hours later.... finally done! Ready for Christmas morning.

Christmas parties

Gardner family party with catered El Rico's YUM! Devyn thought the beans were (as she would say) deeelicous!
Beau made the cutest little baby Jesus! He was awake and happy and didn't make a peep! Jackson (aka Joseph) was being a good sport and toughing it out while he held beau for a while, then I see him mouth "he's heavy", so I rescued him and laid beau on the floor.
Devyn made the cutest little angel. Instead of following all the other angels and standing behind she sat right in front and I could hear her arguing "no that's my brother" when he was referred to as baby Jesus.

Hunt family party. My uncle John made such a good Santa and had all the kids going!

Devyn loves everything about Santa except when it comes to sitting on his lap! My brother john helped her out so she could get a candy cane.

Christmas morning

Finding her new electric Dora toothbrush, which has been a big hit ever since! She loves to brush with that thing!
Beau's first Christmas. He didn't get much, we were definitely taking advantage of him not knowing the difference!
Devyn got so many fun things from her grandma Secrist. A Dora suitcase for her visits to Heber that included a princess umbrella! She loves it and went to bed with it that night!
She also got a backpack filled with a tent,sleeping bag,flashlight and water bottle! I had the idea of getting her a tent so she had a fun place to sleep when we go to Heber(since we share a room). A tent will be so much better than a bed on the floor!

Grandpa Secrist got her a vacuum which she loves! She used to follow me around while I vacuumed pushing anything she could find, pretending she had one! Now she has the real thing!

Finally the kitchen. Of course she loves it! She told Santa (with a little coaching from mom) she wanted a RED kitchen and she got one! Don't forget the accessories....a laminated smock apron to match. Christmas was a success and our first at home! After opening presents we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Hunt's for the traditional Christmas breakfast burritos!
