First Weeks of Summer

 

Bye, Bye clean house.
Why???

Memorial Day swim party! 
Which was Lanes pday, so it worked out he could
"hang" with the cousins for a bit!

Rusty started working at Good Guys!

Those early mornings caught up to him pretty quickly

as he was caught dead asleep on the couch at 4pm!

Casey took the YM on a Colorado River kayaking trip!

They had to pack light and eat freeze dried meals.

Definitely sounds like a boys kind of trip, ha!

They survived and said it was a great time!

Lindi went on her second year of girls camp, but it was her first year of
actually camping!

I need to hunt down more pictures, but she had a blast!

She is going to be so sad when Martie moves.

They always have a good time together!

I FINALLY made it to Din Tai Fung!

This place is harder to get into than the White House!

I talked my sisters into going right when they opened to avoid the 3 hour wait.

It worked! Nothing like dumplings at 10:30 in the morning!

We let the kids explore their new stomping grounds.

It doesn't feel real that this will eventually be our new homestead. 

I'm sure once the building process starts it will get us all more invested in  

connecting our roots. 

What is Summer without a lemonade stand?!

Casey switched his councilors at church, so we took them out to ice cream as a thank you.

We had the ice cream "truck" visit us!

The Figs were so cute delivering treats to brighten peoples day!

Lindi was babysitting and I needed to drop something off to Della.

I walked in and smiled at them eating dinner together like a little family!

It was the cutest. 

I should open a MedSpa with the new sauna and red light I bought.

I saw the hallway glowing, and loved to see them relaxing and detoxing!

I spent about 3 hours soaking in the hot tub and catching up with high school friends!

We Are Survivors! Last Day of SCHOOL!

These are way more candid and less posed than the first day, ha!

He would not turn and smile, so I had to work around him.
Stinker.

It was utter chaos at the elementary school!
Miss Finitzer, bless her heart.

She survived a hectic year that had many twists and turn.

Did I mention it was her very first year teaching?

I think we were ALL ready to walk out the door
 and not look back for a couple of months!!

Abby my cousin, aka Mrs. Standage would be leaving to to teach PE
at a different campus. 

We are all bummed about that!

She was showing the girls the instagram reel she made of her teaching over the years
with them in it. 

Della had friends come home with her to swim.

I came back to them wasting no time blowing up the fresh, new swim floaties!

Family Camping

 

Not going to lie, I was being a stinker about going camping.

I was done for, and adding one night of camping
seemed more than I could handle.

The kids would have killed me, so I rallied and got us there!

My plans of staying in the close by lodge got foiled.
 I threw the bare minimum in the car to get us through the night.

Which was a bad plan.

I froze my keister off, and slept a total of 10 minutes shoved
in a kid sized mummy bag.

I honest to goodness thought I wouldn't survive, it was the longest night of my life.

To top it off, Della was at the beginning of a health journey.
She was no peach to deal with.

She had an epic meltdown I had no idea a 9 year old could make,
along with multiple mini meltdowns. 

And cried at every meal since she is now gluten and dairy free.
