Best Christmas Present Ever!

Last year we got Megan the best present!  She really loves the author Gerald Lund and everything he has written.  Her goal in life is to write historical fiction just like him.  So we bought her his latest book and HE wrote her a personal letter with writing tips!  We included it in with the book.

Part 3 Drive up the California Coast

After Disney we made out way up the coast toward Santa Cruz where we would be staying for a few days.  On the way we saw some really cool sights.  We stopped in a little town called Solvang.  It's right outside Santa Barbara.  It's like a little Denmark.  There are little sweet shops (NOT sweatshops Megan!)  everywhere and windmills.  We would love to have spent more time there, but we were making our way up the coast, so we had lunch and moved on.  We got to see a sea elephant cove where they made really interesting noises.  The kids thought it was hilarious.  

The drive took all day, but it was so beautiful.

Sometimes it got a little freaky driving up the coast.  But mostly it was just beautiful.

Part 2 California Trip

We spent two days at Disneyland and one day at California Adventure.  It was so fun!  We have been to the parks many times, but this was probably one of the best.  I wasn't pregnant and we didn't have a baby or a toddler, no diaper bag.  And Chloe was tall enough to go on all the rides but two, which some of us didn't want to go on anyway.

 Just entered Disneyland!  We put stickers on the little girls again with our contact information incase they got lost.  The big kids all have phones...and we don't care as much about them. ;)

 The new "Car's Land"in California Adventure.  It was really cool.  Disney definitely spares no expense.
