Blog Year in Review

As I realize it is time to update my blog, and I have little to post, I decided to do a "Year in Review" type post.  But not a normal one.  I am going to take the title/subject of my first post on my blog for each month of the year to recap my year.  Here goes:

January - Year in Review for 2006

February - Xander was barfing - so rather than go to a baby shower, I did taxes.

March - Xanders new favorite past-time (playing DS with Mom)

April - We bought a house

May - We have internet!

June - Xanders new Nemo room is finished

July - Happy Birthday to me (included in this post, Tanner here visiting, we got grass, the Plumbs came and visited, and we went mini golfing, whew, long post)

August - Stuff (which really sums up August)

September - Our weekend in Boise!

October - Xander is 2 years old!

November - Update on China 

December - Christmas is coming fast!

Ironic that this actually does a pretty good job summing up the year.  The only things I would add to it is Jared did get a new job at Disney, and we went to Disneyland in October.  Other than that, there is my 2007 blog year in review.

Christmas Post 1 - Christmas Day

Our Christmas was lucky enough to start a day early.  On Christmas Eve Jared got his much anticipated Heroscape expansion packs.  So we opened those and played last night.

When Santa came he asked Jared to help him set-up one of the presents.  Here is Jared helping Santa set-up a bouncing castle:

Oh, and Jared bought me flowers for a Christmas gift.  They are so beautiful.  Thanks Jared.

Christmas morning Xander was so confused by the big blow-up caslte in the front room.  Here is a picture of him looking at it:

Eventually he learned he could play in it, and then we lost him for the morning.  He didn't even care to open his other presents.

Finally we talked him into opening some.  Here he is opening his collection of McQueen cars.

He also got a big rug map to play with his cars on.

The castle came with some blow-up spears.  He was really excited to "attack" dad with them.

After all the presents were opened, Daddy tried to take a nap, but Xander wanted to join him.

We had a really great Christmas day.  Xander LOVED all the toys he got and he wouldn't quit playing with McQueen.  I hope you all enjoyed your holiday too.  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Post 2 - Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas Eve (on Sunday, the day before Christmas Eve) at my mom's house in Morgan.  My sister Emily was there from DC so it made it so the whole fam damily was there.

For Westin's talent he made balloon animals for the kids.  It was the hit of the show.  He made a flower for JJ.

Xander got a Mickey figurine from Ike and Jenny.  He LOVED it and took it to bed with him that night.  It didn't leave his side until today when he got new presents.

Oh, Jared and I had the Wallace family.  One of the things we got them was a little sweater for Cordie.  Normally I wouldn't buy clothes for dogs, but it was pink, and the brand name was Lulu.  So I had to.

It was a really fun Christmas Eve, the day before Christmas Eve.  Thanks mom for having us over.  

Blog update (with pictures)

We finally got our picture thing sorted out.  So here are the pictures from the past three weeks.

First of all, Xander has learned that his parents double as horses.  Here he is riding on daddy.

Then Xander got really sick.  Here he is cuddling with Mom, while she tries to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Then here are pictures of Xander, Faith and Logan playing together.  Xander loved having his cousins come to play.


Then Jared (as an early Christmas gift) got some "Heroscape" games as gifts.  He and Xander loved building levels together.
