One more Page

Since our New Years Eve plans got cancelled on us (twice), we were home alone on New Years. This gave me a chance to scrapbook. Here is my newest page.

Congratulations Emily

Today Jared's sister Emily got married. Jared was able to go down to the wedding. Here are some pictures of them.

Another Scrapbook Page

Jared is gone to St. George for his sisters wedding, and Xander is sleeping, so I thought this would be a great chance to get some scrapbooking done. So far I have finished one page. I will add the rest as I finish them.

Our visitors this week

My sister Leisa got a new computer, so she and Chelsea came down to have Jared help set it up. While they were here they changed Xander, here is the picture.


Jared's family came through on the way to St. George for the holidays. Here are his siblings sitting on the sofa playing games.


We got gift from our dear friend MaryRuth, it was the cutest bathrobe for Xander. Here we are with him in it after his bath.


Today we decided to take Jareds brothers (who are staying at our place) to temple square. We invited my family to come, but Chelsea was the only one who could make it. Here are some pictures of us touring the sites.

Christmas 2005

Christmas this year was really fun. We went to Boise Idaho and spent it with Jared's sister Angela, her husband Ryan, and their two kids Kathleen (3) and Brandon (1 1/2). When we got there Kathleen was so excited to play with her cousin "Sander" (she couldn't quite say her X sound, so it came out as an S sound).

She kept wanting to take a nap with "Sander" because she loved him so much. Every time he would cry she would run up to him and say "It's okay Sander. It's okay, don't cry." and then she would give him his pacifier and lightly rub his head to calm him down.


For Christmas Eve Xander got neat present from his Grandma Hardman, a Christmas Pajama. Here he is wearing it to bed on Christmas Eve.

We made sugar cookies on Christmas Eve. It was really fun. Kathleen got it all over her face. When I asked her to smile for the camera, this is what she did. Such a cutie.

We just hung out and visited on Christmas Eve, and had fun with Angela and Ryan.

For our Christmas Eve present, I made all of us matching pajamas. Here we are wearing them on Christmas (aren't we a cute family).

On Christmas we got a lot of fun gifts. Jared got two more pairs of pajama pants (he wears through them like there were no tomorrow). Xander got a really big Pooh Bear. And I got a crock pot (finally, now I can make all the yummy stuff).


By Christmas Brandon was no longer afraid of me. In fact he learned how to say my name, one of the few words he can say.

We had lots of fun with Angela, she is such a fun person. Here she is making a face for the camera. I am so glad you are my sister-in-law Ang.

As we were packing to leave, Kathleen did not want us to go. She kept trying to hide in our suitcase so we could take her home with us. We even zipped it up with her in it, and started taking it out. She thought it was the funniest thing, and just giggled in delight. Brandon is in the background playing with the baby monitor, and Jared overlooking it all.

We had a wonderful time, and are grateful to Ang and Ryan for letting us come. We can't wait for them to come to our house on New Years.

Christmas Card 2005

Xander and his new friend Chuck

My sister and I noticed the other day that when Xander wears this yellow shirt, he looks like Charlie Brown. So for Christmas my sister (Leisa) bought him a Charlie Brown doll. Xander loves his doll Chuck. I promised Leisa that the next time I put Xander in his Charlie Brown shirt that I would take his picture with Chuck. Here they are. Let me know if you think he looks like Charlie Brown....

Our weekend

This weekend my two sisters Leisa and Chelsea came down and spent the night Friday night. We had fun. I love having babysitters, it gave me a chance to cut Jared's hair. Here is a picture of babysitter Leisa with sleeping Xander.

I dressed Xander in a really cute pair of overalls. It is the first time he wore them, and he was adorable.

On Saturday it was my mothers birthday (Happy Birthday Mom), so we went to go and visit her in Morgan (where she just moved). Grandpa Hardman sure had fun with Xander.

After a while dad and Xander got tired, so they took a nap in the front room.

Before we left we sang happy birthday to my mom and to my sister Leisa, who's birthday is this week.

Our surprise visitor

Jareds dad is a travelling salesman. He called us Monday night and said he was going to be in town that night, could he stay with us. So he stayed with us two nights. It was really fun to have him. Xander and he had lots of fun playing together.

Jared and Xander coincidentally wore matching sweaters yesterday, I just had to take a picture of them. So cute.

Gingerbread House Party

Our annual gingerbread house party was this weekend. It went really well. We did have the lowest turnout ever though. Sigh. I guess people in our new branch just don't like to party as much as people in our last ward. We had our friends Colby and Denise O'very come. Our new friends from the ward Adam Evans, and his daughter Brynn. Our home teacher David and Melissa Feldman came. And Jared's co-worker, Courtney, his wife Tamara, and their two boys Cody and Reggie.

Although it wasn't the same without the Maddens and the Francks, it was still fun.

The Gingerbread Houses

Here are the individual gingerbread houses.

This one won for most creative. It is an aircraft carrier (they have a satellite dish, and an anchor).


This one came in second for most creative. It is a farm, they have animals and everything.


This one won the best overall. (I think the porch columns are what did it).

OK this one isn't a house, it is a suspension bridge (good job Jared).

This one is a Winnebago. It has a plasma TV in it, and it has two santas who mess themselves as they are about to be hit. It also has a motorcycle and other fun stuff.

So my friend MaryRuth is about the most awesome person I know. Things I love about MaryRuth are:
