Chets 27th Birthday!

On June 21st Chet Celebrated his 27th Birthday. We didnt have a party on his birthday because he had to work so on his birthday I made his favorite a Cheesecake so that we could have a little birthday celebration.

The Cheesecake that I made it was a bit harder to write on it than it looks.

Tate's Birthday

Happy Birthday Tate!!

Chets little brother Tate's birthday was on June 3rd. He turned the big 18. He now thinks he is a legal adult haha. Technically he is he is. He will be a senior this next year I just cant hardly believe he is 18 When I met Chet little Tate was only 11.

For Tate's Birthday this year we got him his Combination License and Deer tag but since they came before his birthday we thought we would do something crazy for him.

He is just bearly starting to figure out what we gave him. So far a piece of Easter candy and a little Hickory Farms Summer Sausage.

Then a big bowl of Ramen Noodles and a Cup of Noodles. Some homemade playdough some hot chocolate and some Fritos Corn Chips.

What we did was we went through our house and found the most random foods and treats we could find. Tate loved opening it. He had a blast. Im pretty sure all the food was gone in less than a week considering he is a TEENAGE BOY!!

He did get one perk There was a Mountain Dew (his favorite drink) Tshirt in the bottom of the bag.

We hope he had a fun birthday.

Memorial Day Fishing!

For Memorial Day chet and I went fishing out at Burraston Ponds. We packed up a picnic lunch and headed out to the pond. We had tons of fun after about half hour of sitting there I got a bite on my line and by the feeling of the fight he felt like a big sucker. I got him into shore and low and behold he was a BIG SUCKER. He was about a 15 lb Carp. Yup I caught a Huge Garbage fish Algea Eater. And he is the biggest fish I have ever caught. We named him Fred and we decided to play with him for a while and keep him alive.

Here I am as I just got Fred reeled in and onto the shore to check out his size.

Thats one big Carp.

He was really heavy. But I was proud.

After we got the hook out of his mouth we didnt want to just put him back into the pond because of how the hook was hooked into his mouth. So our good friends Adam and Andie Young have a pond in their back yard and they werent home at the time so guess where we decided to take fred and let him live!

Yup you guessed it we let him live with the goldfish. Here is chet carryin Fred to his new home.

You cant hardly see him but Fred headed to the most algea covered corner in the pond and latched onto the side. He is in the top left corner of the picture.

Fred played in the pond for about 2 weeks until he got really bored and Jumped out of the pond (as we are told) and couldnt make it back in!

Grandma Rasmussen's Birthday!

On May 1st we celebrated my Grandma Rasmussen's birthday! It was such a fun day! All of my dads siblings were able to be there except for my Uncle Lynn he had just had knee surgery. Chet wasnt able to be there because he was at work.
