Summer 2012 and more

We love to travel, and now we are dragging Evan along with us! Dylan is a huge Chicago sports fan, so we decided it would be fun to go see some games and enjoy the sites.  We spent five days packed with fun and had a wonderful time. We'll be back for sure in another few years. 

We met up with Dylan's Uncle Jim for lunch and a Cubs Game.

Big Boy School

Today was Evan's first day of Pre-School. He goes three days a week for 4 hrs a day.
He was excited to go and though I couldn't get much out of him, I did get this:
What was your favorite part of the day?: "Play with friends."
Do you like your teacher?: "Yes, she said "stand in line, stand in line, stand in line.""
When asked for more details about his day, I got: "I don't want to talk about big boy school."
So with that, we were done...But he likes it and that's all that matters.

Texas Natural History Museum

We met some friends today at the Texas Natural History Museum on the UT Campus. Evan liked the dinosaur bones, and I liked that it was free and inside with air conditioning.

Happy 3rd Birthday Evan!

I can't believe our Evan is 3 years old! He is such a big boy now.
At 3 years old, Evan likes:
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
Jumpy Houses
Swings
Watching "Shawn the Sheep"
Toy Story (he has Buzz, Woody, Jesse, and Bullseye toys, as well as Toy Story sheets on his bed.)
Music class singing and dancing. (or running, whichever you want to call it)
Playing with Play-doh
Going to the movie theater and getting popcorn
Going to the pool with Daddy


Evan loves to play with his friends and LOVES going to the jumpy house where we had his party. They did lots of jumping, but they moved too fast to get any pictures!

Our annual trip to Paisano was great as always. Evan and Asher loved playing in the dirt and climbing rocks together. They are quite the little pair of buds.

4th of July Fun

For the 4th this year we went to visit Evan's Great Pa and Great Grandma Donna in Sun City. They made yummy lunch and Evan had a great time.

Cousin Play

Kendra and Asher came for a little visit and we took the boys to the jumpy house for some inside play. (thank you Air Conditioning!) They liked the lego room alot!

Children's Day-Art Park

Evan and I met some friends today at an event downtown called Children's Day-Art Park. There was live music, crafts, and clowns, but Evan liked the face painting the best. He was a monkey if you can't tell :) It was sooooo hot, but worth the trip.

Spring 2012

Here is a video summarizing the last few months of our busy lives.

Portland

Instead of going on our usual summer trip to California to visit Dylan's cousins, we decided to instead go to Sophie's graduation from Reed College in Portland.  This was our first time to the Northwest and  we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The weather was great, the landscape was beautiful, and the company couldn't be matched.
