Sea World Trip 2011

Sea World was offering free admission to the park for Certified Texas teachers this summer. Not wanting to turn down a perfectly good excuse to use the teaching certificate that I earned, but don't use, all the certified teachers in the family jumped in the car and headed to San Antonio. (Mom, Dad, Kendra, Me, Evan and Asher) Oh, and children under 3 are free, so we all got to go for NADA!!

It didn't take long for the red cheeks to appear!

There is a new Sesame Street show in the Bay of Play Water area. Evan enjoyed meeting Burt and Ernie.


We literally had to pry his hands from the Sea Lion pool.

Great times had by all. My pass is good through the end of the year, so I'd like to go back with Dylan when it cools off a bit. Way too hot to be out there now.

Good Times

Just an update on Evan's life thus far in 2011...

-He loves his "Dees" which are what he calls his blankets. Thankfully it doesn't have to be any particular blanket, just the soft flannel receiving type. I have to fold them in secret and slip them in the drawer without him seeing otherwise they get carried around the house and he is in Dee Heaven.
-He called Dylan "Dee-Dah" until just recently when he changed it to Daddy. We kinda miss it.
-Says touchdown at any sporting event on TV, even golf.
-Tattle-Tells on Maddie, but also slips her some crackers at snack time. (She likes to sleep outside his door at night)
-Says lots of words and makes 2-3 word sentences, but I still don't understand much of what he says. He probably thinks I'm not that bright.
-Has realized that bath and pajamas come before bed time, so isn't a big fan of that anymore...But he does love story time at night. Jamberry and Goodnight Gorilla are the favs.
