Christmas with Gabby and Dado

Last night, we shared an early Christmas with Gabby and Dado before the rest of the Christmas festivities get started. We enjoyed a yummy dinner complete with homemade cookies before exchanging gifts. We are so thankful for family! It is good to be home in TN with those that we love and that love us. Thank you, Gabby and Dado!

Elf Doughnuts

We have an Elf by the name of Wooble-Booble. He spends the entire month of December with us. The girls enjoy having him around and get excited to see his new location each day. While playing on pinterst one night, I ran across this fun idea (elf doughnuts). I knew that the girls would love it! After making cookies for Santa yesterday, we made Wooble-Booble a plate full of doughnuts (chocolate, cinnamon, and powdered sugar).

This morning, the girls found Wooble-Booble laying on the counter with a tummy ache from too many doughnuts.

Christmas Cookies with A Meerkat and A Ballerina

Yesterday, the big girls and I made Christmas cookies. While waiting for the cookies to bake, they girls ran off upstairs for a little play. When they returned to decorate the cookies, they were dressed as a meerkat and a ballerina. What fun and wacky Christmas fun!

Lenlee is Crawling!

Wednesday night (December 21st), Lenlee crawled for the very first time. She is still slow and often gets frustrated, but she is on the move. Way to Go, Lenlee girl!

Outdoor Play

When the weather permits, the girls enjoy being out in their backyard. I do believe that the yard is a favorite part of our new home.

Sister Play

As Lenlee becomes more mobile and active, the big girls are enjoying playtime with their little sister. Our 3 girls are the sweetest of friends.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Tonight we had a little Happy Birthday Jesus party after dinner. During play time today, the girls made cards for Jesus. Tonight we sang and ate cake together. Jesus is the reason for the season!

Lenlee Louise- 8 months old

As of December 19th, our baby girl is 8 months old. As I say each month...where has the time gone?! Lenlee is the sweetest, most pleasant baby. She is developing a sense of humor and finds her older sister to be the funniest. Lenlee is days away from becoming forward mobile. For now, she rolls side to side and turns herself in circles. In addition to moving about, Lenlee is beginning to pull herself up (only to her knees for now). If we stand her up, she does a great job holding herself up. As for her schedule, Lenlee eats 5 times a day (breakfast: 6oz + food, lunch: 2oz + food, snack: 6oz, dinner: 2oz or water + food, bedtime snack: 7oz). She sleeps from 730pm-730am and naps 3 times a day. Lenlee fills our home with smiles, laughs, and lots of love. We love you, Lenlee Louise!

Wii

Yesterday was a nice lazy day around the house. We pulled out the Wii for the first time since moving to our new house. The girls enjoyed drawing and playing games.

Cookies at Grammie and Papa's House

Last Friday, Reagan and Bella went to Grammie and Papa's house for a little Christmas fun. The girls decorated gingerbread men and watched Christmas movies.

A Nashville Smith Family Christmas

This weekend, we traveled to Nashville for the annual Smith Family Christmas. We gathered with more than 50 family members for a meal and lots of fun fellowship. The girls love the extra play time with their cousins.

Christmas Ornaments

Each year, we open new ornaments for our Christmas tree. The ornaments reflect something special about the person and their year. Just the other night, we opened our ornaments and put them on the tree.

Reagan got an ornament that says 'Born to Read' because she does love to read and to learn. Bella got a pink flower purse ornament because she carries around her pink flower purse (it 'makes her a real mommy'). Together the girls were given a ballet slipper ornament because this is their first year on ballet.

Lenlee was given a baby carriage with her name on it to mark her 1st Christmas.

Our family ornament is the new talking Christmas Story ornament from Hallmark (a tradition for the last 4 years).

Bella's Christmas Party

Thursday December 16th was also Bella's Christmas party. They sang a few songs for the mommies and enjoyed a 'Happy Birthday Jesus' treat.

Reagan's Preschool Christmas Show and Party

Thursday December 16th, Reagan class invited us to their bell and singing show as school. The kids did a great job. They played several songs with their bells and sang many precious Christmas songs. After the performance, the kiddos decorated their gingerbread houses and ate 'Happy Birthday Jesus' cake.

As part of our Christmas celebrations, we made gingerbread houses as a family. Each big girl got to build and decorate their own. It was fun to watch how they choose to decorate; I think that it shows their differences.
