Isabella Loves Smoochi's!

Isabella is 11 weeks old and got to visit Santa!

Today Isabella is 11 weeks old! She is getting to be such a big girl! She's really good at hold up her head and will push up her legs to stand if you hold her.



We also took Isabella to see Santa for her first Christmas! She sat on his lap without even crying! Santa hasn't had the chance to scare her yet. I love this Christmas because it is Isabella's first but once she figures out what is going on it'll be even more fun!

Isabella's Christmas present

This year Isabella's big Christmas present was a crib and she was lucky enough that Santa came early to put it together for her :) We bought the crib and bedding awhile ago but knew we wouldn't put her in it until she was too old/big for her bassinet. Well, she stopped wanting to sleep in her bassinet when she was about a month old. So for the past month and a half she has been sleeping in our bed with me while Craig was on the couch or on the couch with Craig or in her swing, The past few weeks we've been able to get her to sleep in her pack 'n play, which has been nice. So we decided it was time, if not past time, for her to get her crib. So far she does pretty good sleeping in it at night but not much during the day. I think she's still getting used to sleeping on her own in her own bed in her own room. I for one like sharing a bed with my husband again!

Isabella is 2 months old!

The time sure has flown by and Isabella is growing up! Isabella loves to smile and talk to us (especially when she's on her changing table- she loves getting a new diaper and us putting on the cute outfits she owns!) Isabella is becoming a daddy's girl too. On Saturday night Craig closed Wingers, as he usually does on Saturday nights, and didn't get home until about 1:45 am. I was trying to get Isabella to sleep so I laid down on the bed with her. When Craig came home he turned on the light and peeked over me to look at Isabella. I asked Isabella who that was. She squinted her eyes to get a better look since her eyes were still adjusting to the light. Once she focused at Craig she immediately threw her arms above her head, laughed a little, and had a big smile on her face. She was so happy that daddy was home! I know I say this every time but Isabella is such a joy in our home and really does complete our family. She is such a blessing! We have loved watching her grow the past 2 months and can't wait to continue to watch her grow up.

Weight: 11 lbs. 10 oz (was 21 1/4 inches at 6 weeks)

Isabella is 7 weeks old!

Isabella is a happy, healthy baby! She loves to talk to us, give us an occasional smile, and learn about the world around her by staring off into space! She loves when daddy comes home and will watch him until he holds her. We love having Isabella in our family and watching her grow!
