No more binki's

Well it happened Bryce "lost" his binki. He has had a couple of sad moments, but it is good because the baby comes in 8 weeks.

Post note We had a great Thanksgiving being with family. It is always is sad when it is over. Thanks to my mom for putting up with us all and destroying her house. And yes I mean literally. It seems my family can't come without breaking something. Sorry Mom!

Some of my recent projects

Well, I finished the gifts for my nieces Olivia and Sofia. I thought they turned out pretty cute for my first attempt at a dress.



This is the blessing dress I made for my new little girl. The boys comment was that it was too big for her she is not going to be that tall. Doug's comments were isn't that a little much and is it too big (which it could be) and that she could wear it to be blessed and baptized hence the previous too big comment. I thought it turned out pretty cute. We will see if it fits when she is blessed.



When I was taking pictures Bryce kept saying "take a picture of me". They did turn out cute. We have also been trying to prep him for losing his binki's and potty training. He tells me right after he pees his diaper now and he tells me before he has to poop. So when he told me one day that he was pooping
I said "let's go sit on the toilet."
He said, "no."
"If you sit on the toilet you don't poop your pants and get yuckies everywhere."
"no."
"Isn't it yucky to have the poop in your diaper. It is nice to go in the toilet and not be dirty on your bum."
"No. Just change diaper. Then, not yucky."
Then I thought, Oh, why didn't I think of that.

Happy Halloween

Well this is a mixture. The first series is the boy dressed up for the ward's Halloween party. Bryce is batman, Evan is Indiana Jones, Layne is Snake Eyes, and Carson is a brotherhood ninja.



These are the boys carving the pumpkins. Bryce loved sticking his hands in and pulling out the guts. Evan was not so sure of this.









Finished project.



On Halloween we played games and had all sorts of goodies for dinner like pizza, little smokies, meatballs, and some fruit. The boys were very excited to go trick-or-treating. Today Bryce decided he wanted to be Diego. He is very cute. The boys also looked very cute. They all loved all of the candy.





Oh and the boys think it is very funny to dress Tessa up as a Hot Dog.

Baby Girl

Well Doug just keeps shaking his head every time I show him these things but here is the baby girl's car seat. Warning it is very girly.


This is the bedding. To buy it would have been $160.00. For me to make it which I am doing it cost me $65.00. It is very simple so I hope it doesn't take me too long. I am also making her blessing dress which is almost done. Just have to figure out the buttonhole option on the sewing machine.

Evan's Birthday

Well, I am catching up somewhat. Evan's birthday was the end of September and we did a family party at Chuck E Cheese. Evan also wanted a Darth Mal cake. I think it turned out pretty good.

First Day of School (Sort of)

Well this is actually the 8th day of school. But this is the first day they went.

The boys at Moab

Well this is what we did mainly with the boys while we were in Moab. We went to the park by the house which is Rotary Park. The boys like to play in the creek mainly and on the percussion instruments that they have there.

One day we did take the boys up to a Lake in the LaSal's and they caught teeny fish.

Soccer

Most of our week is spent in going to soccer practice or soccer games. I don't think I have posted many pictures of the boys. So here they are. The funny part is that any time Carson would see the camera up he would stop where he was and smile at the camera. Not good when you are in the middle of the game.

It's A .....

Well, everyone has been pestering and dying to know what we are having. I kept telling them that it was most likely a boy. We went to have the ultrasound done today and it was a girl. Doug and I are in shock. Wow! Really did not expect that in the house.

Mesa, AZ

We stayed at a nice condo in Chandler AZ. The boys all they wanted to do was swim in the pool. This is the pool at Jon and Mary's. The boys were swimming with Grandpa and Grandma Southwick. We did get them to go to the Science Museum in Phoenix one day. It was very hot there. Too hot for me. I will stay where it is cooler and I actually have a winter.



The wedding was very nice. Carrie had the YW in her ward watch the kids so we could all attend the wedding. It was very kind of them. I thought the boys looked so cute all dressed alike.

Grand Canyon

We went to the Grand Canyon on our way to Mesa AZ for Carrie's wedding. The boys really love the gift shop with the arrowheads, bows and arrows, and cowboy guns. The boys liked exploring the first couple of stops looking over the grand canyon. After that they said it all looked the same. So going through the Grand Canyon was really fast since they don't have a great appreciation for subtleties.
