Catching Up

Well....
As you scroll down the page you will see a ton of new posts. I posted all of our Utah adventures during the 3 weeks we were there. It was a little crazy for Coster most of the time but we are glad to be back in MD. We miss all of our family and had a harder time leaving this time than we have had before.
Coster and Clay will be on their own for a four day weekend while I go in for surgery on my kidney. I am sure that they will have fun together. My mom and sister and Clay's mom are going to be coming out to help with Coster for a few weeks since I will not be able to do any lifting for 2 weeks and minimal weight for the 3rd. How is that supposed to work with a 16 month old and living on the 4th floor with no elevators?
I hope you enjoy catching up on what we have been up to.

Family

With the Cook's

The Dabb's minus Brian (Lake Powell)
Clay with the Dabb's minus Brian (Lake Powell)
Coster with Aunt Jean Ann. They were buddies on the flight there and back and in Utah :)
Coster with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Dabb
With Great Grandma Rackham and Aunt Kathy.
Coster with my brother Brian
Coster and his cousin Easton playing with Playdoh. Don't they look like they could be brothers?
Coster playing with one of his new found toys. The tape measure.
Having a drink with Grandma.

New Boots

I was with my sister-in-law Cheridan and we saw these boots. We just had to bet them. They are a bit big but he will grow into them.

Looking for rocks with Grandpa Dabb

Throwing rocks into the pond at my parents house. If my brother Brian would have been there watching this he would have been so jealous. Everytime that he threw something into the pond when he was little he got in BIG trouble. Grandkids have their own rules I guess. Sorry Brian!

The Cook Farm

Coster and Grandpa Cook riding the tractor. His favorite thing.

This is Clay with all his brothers and their boys. No girls!
All the grandkids on the Cook side and another boy on the way in October. Can you believe all these boys? Coster is NOT very happy in the picture!

1st Stitches

Poor little Coster had to get stitches while we were in Utah. We were up at My parents house for Brian's 19th birthday and Coster was running around having a great time and before we knew it he had run from the grass to the cement and smached right on his face onto the cement. We thought that he broke his nose, but it was just badly bruised. He ended up with 3 stitches on his upper lip. Look how swollen his lip is the next morning. His nose doesn't look bad yet but you will see it looking worse just in time for the Cook family pictures :)

Still a happy boy!
Scabbing up a bit.
The night he got them out. Looking good, and hopefully looking better in a few days.

The Quackenbush Clan

These are our good friends from North Dakota. Clay and Chris were in Law School together and Macey (their oldest) was just a little girl when we left. Coster was only 1 month old. They have been in Utah for a while and we were so happy that we got to meet up with them. Or should I say that they drove up to see us. Chris is leaving Utah in a couple of days to leave for his new job so we are glad that they were all there. We miss having our friends just down the road. Clay misses the Friday night cooking.

All the kiddo's with Clay's mom's cute little playhouse in the background.

Random Fun

So tired but loving the horse tire swing at the Cook's

Playing with Grandpa Dabb's favorite rabbit Oreo.
Coster, Oreo, and Grandpa Dabb
hanging out in the rabbit pen
Coster loved helping pick the tomatoes. He did pretty good at only picking the red ones but there were a few green ones here and there.

The Dreaded Adenovirus

Look at this poor little face! So we were in Utah for 3 weeks and for the first two weeks (while Clay was not with us) Coster got soooo sick. Runny nose, watery eyes, throwing up, diarreah (sp?) Double ear infection, and ended up having a reaction to the Amoxacillin (sp?). He had a fever for 12 days straight!!!! We used so much Tylenol and Motrin. The second antibiotic worked and just in time for Clay to get here. Isn't that just how it goes? I am glad that our little guy started feeling better. I just wish I could've seen some of my friends while we were there. Darn it!

This is what Coster did almost everynight from about 1 am to about 4 am. He had such a hard time sleeping through the night because of the earaches and the stuffy nose. This was his tent. and he would watch the dvd in there with his drink.
We tried our best to keep him comfortable.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

We got to go to the open house on the last day when we got to Utah. This was Coster on the way down there. Thank you Murdocks!

Grandma Dabb and Coster at the Reception Center after exiting. We all got a cookie and some water. What a great idea to have this at the end.
My sister's Amanda Grandma Dabb Coster and Kristy at the temple.
All of us outside. Side view.
Coster and Mom! P.S. Coster was starting his sickness this day. If we only knew what was coming :)
