Brookside Fun

There is this great park just down the road called Brookside Gardens that is so pretty. We like to go there for walks occasionally. There are always these geese hanging around and Coster just can't get enough of them.

They don't really mind people just becasue they are around them all the time, so Coster can get pretty close. He loves it! Just don't try feeding them goldfish crackers right Natalie? They will chase you.

One Fun Saturday

The day started off with Coster playing around the house, taking a good nap, and then we headed out for some fun at a local park. Here we are riding the little train at the park.

Coster's first time on the carousel. He loved it. He wasn't quite sure at first about the horse going up and down but he really ended up loving it.

Coster Loves His Fork

Coster loves to use a fork to eat his food. He is still not the cleanest eater as you will see in the post below but he is learning and liking it. I need to go and get him his own fork and spoon that are just his size but for now this is working. This is mostly for the grandmas that just love to see everything new going on since we don't get to see them too often.

Kind of a mad smile. He is getting good at smiling on que. Clay and I just bought this rocking chair. We have been looking for one for a long time but we got a super good deal on this one so we had to get it. It has been so nice to rock Coster in this instead of the banana chair. Any of you remember those? It is getting harder and harder to get out of since he is getting bigger. Clay still uses it though. He loves it.

We Have A Walker On Our Hands

Here is a video of Coster walking around the kitchen and family room. He likes to just walk around for no apparent reason. Just because he can. He is doing a great job. Yeah for Coster! Do you like his Mexico soccer outfit?

Mr. Personality

Well, Coster is definitley full of personality lately. He is walking now and in to things left and right. Just as I am cleaning up one thing he is in the next room ripping apart something else. Well this morning after he woke at 6 am. might I add, I heard him splashing around in the toilet and thought are you kidding me? No pictures of that :) So while I am cleaning things up in the bathroom this is what I hear and come to find.....

Turf's food everywhere. He opened the top and was playing with all of it. He apparantley thinks he is funny!

Shoving it under the door too. So after waking up early, cleaning up the stuff in the toilet, cleaning up cat food, I go and look in the bathroom and Turf has pooped on the rug! Oh Dear! What a morning. Coster is now taking his nap, and so is Turf thank goodness.

Coster LOVES Ranch dressing. He wouldn't eat his chicken nuggets so I gave him some Ranch to dip them into, and I think he just tried to eat the Ranch as quickly as he could. What a mess! Even though he is starting to have more personality than ever, we are just having so much fun with it. He is such a silly boy, and we love him! I will have to get a video posted of him walking later on. Yeah!

Jean Ann's Awards

Here are some of the pictures from Jean Ann's awards ceremony. For those of you who don't know Jean Ann she is my aunt (my dads sister) that lives in Fredricksburg VA. She is such a trooper! She has been dealing with Colon cancer for the second time. She had a rough time at the start of chemo this time and she was still going into school and teaching. She could hardly do anything else but she just loves to teach. At the Mary Washington University graduation ceremony she recieved 2 awards. The first was voted by the students for the best proffesor of the year, and the second one was voted by the faculty for the best proffesor of the year. She got both of them. In the history of Mary Washington University this has never happened that one proffesor has recieved both awards let alone the same year. We were all so excited for her! She was so surprised! She really is deserving of these and many other awards, if they were handed out. We are glad that she is feeling a bit better now and hope that she will do well with the remaining chemo treatments. Robie (her cat) keeps her company and tries to take care of her when none of us can get down there. He is her best little buddy. Hang in there Jean Ann and we are so glad that we could come and be with you on such an eventful day.

So this last weekend we went down to Jean Ann's house because she was recieving an award at the University that she teaches at. I will have to post some actual pictures from the event when they get e-mailed to me, since I (once again) didn't have my camera with me. We went down on Friday and spent the night. Well Coster was up most of the night of course, and this is what he was doing the whole time that Clay and I were getting ready. Sleeping still! How does that work? We needed him to actually be awake and here he was sleeping still. Thats how it goes.

Coster loves to open up the fridge and pull out the condiments and place them onto the actual fridge racks. Notice his mean little face...... he was mad that I was telling him to close the fridge. It is a funny little picture I think!

Enjoying the Hotel

So excited about eating some breakfast at the hotel.

Getting ready to go swimming.... Good thing that Cathy had her camera because I forgot the battery for my camera. Miscommunication between Clay and I. :) oops! This was his first time in a swimming pool. He liked it, after he got used to it a bit.

He REALLY enjoyed the curtains and walking back and forth through them. What fun!

Last but not least... swimming with Grandma Cook at the hotel. We are glad that we all got to go and have a mini vacation down in the heart of DC.

National Aquarium in Baltimore

Once you get into the aquarium they won't let you take in your strollers because of all the moving walkways and escalators, so this is how Coster viewed the aquarium.

Well we tried to get some pictures with the fish but...... it was quite dark and the glass didn't help.
