PL took a day off to goto Klinik Kesihatan & banks.
CC started his work early. Today, he received a pear for Monday's fruit. The company gives the employee one type of fruit every Monday; one set of breakfast every Friday.
PL just realized she is attending a full day training tomorrow. But she decided to go to company to clear some items prior going to the training venue which is 5 min away.

25 June 2006 : Sunday family breakfast
As usual, we were meeting up with GI aunt, Amanda, Matthew, grandma....
This morning, we could not let our stomach empty till they met us. Thus, we had our kuoy teow ting with one plate of vege/chicken meat. CC has his Penang curry mee. Mom ordered chee cheng fun as extra dishes. We were be gaining weight... Till today, our stomach has tasted :
1. Chee Cheong Fun
2. Bak Kut Teh (only CC)
3. Chay Kuoy Teow
4. Chu Cheong Zho (猪肠粥)
5. Loh Bak
6. Oyster Omelette
7. Dim Sum
8. Kuoy Teow Ting (chicken meat)
9. Kuoy Teow Ting (duck meat)
10. Chai Kuih (菜稞)
11. ......etc
And not forgetting mom's specialities :
1. Penang Laksa
2. Yam Cake
3. Tau yu bak
4. Mee Hoon Ting
5. Yam rice
6. ... and many other dishes...
Our last outing during our trip with mom is Tesco, through the Jelutong Expressway.

24 June 2006 : Rainy day
It was raining heavily when we were having our duck meat kuoy teow.
Last 2 days were PL's shopping spree. Besides clothes & DVD, she finally found a user-friendly camera. Initially, PL thought of Olympus µ 720SW as it was advertised in tv with amazing features. After comparing with Ixus 65, it was found that the images are clearer with more relevant features in this Canon new release.
We went to Hong's shop as CC would like to look for his USB/port connector. There is now a gadget for those who do not have MP3 player in car using cigar jack. We can just download the favourite songs in a thumb drive, plug into MP3 USB FM Transmitter, tune it into a FM radio station for enjoying the songs.
BC went down to visit her friend in KL that we borrowed her car for these 2 days. Thus, we had the opportunity to visit KE at her home before we came home for lunch.
It is approaching dinner time after PL watched her bored Da Vinci Code bought by Hong/BC. The day is kind of slow. Perhaps, we should think of something to do at night to enlighten our day off.
The rain is still pouring........

23 June 2006 : Various copies
We had our breakfast at Weld Quay area - Chay Kuoy Teow, Bak Kut Teh (CC only as PL is avoiding any Chinese Herbs), Chee Cheong Fun. There was a downpour on our way back. Thus, mom decided to call the auntie to deliver the Penang laksa spice instead of going over to the wet market.
At around 8.45am, we were at Immigration again. This time, there was no rush to get a parking. CC waited for PL to get her passport before he got his by sitting in the driving seat. It takes less than 10 min to get the issued passport.
Now, PL has 3 passports - 2 cut at the edge & 1 is the renewed passport. Reasons ? One with US visa that still valid for another few years, one with Singapore re-entry permit for PR that is still valid & another is the valid international passport. CC has 1 cut-edge passport & the renewed passport. Same reasons. But, he is going back to find out more as the renewed passport does not follow his previous passport expirary date. The result : His international passport does not have at least 2 pages left for chop so he needs to apply a new one no matter how.
ps : Ex-boss called PL to get a few cleanroom suppliers' contact. PL did not have the list during vacation that she asked him to call her subordinate. Ex-boss called back to inform that she seemed not knowing those information. PL wondered : Is this subordinate dreaming when working or PL shall spoon feed her more ?

22 June 2006 : Immigration
This morning, we went to renew our passport.
We only found out that we need to make a photocopy of our IC to get the number. There was one "helpful" auntie who made the effort to do that for us. She charged us RM1 per piece. What to do ? We do not want to miss the queue. Later, we found out we still can get number 3 & 4 even we waited for the auntie for 5 min.
PL nearly threw a tantrum when the official said she needs to have the latest photograph. She finally got the photo done earlier by walking down to a Kodak shop nearby.
The process of renewal was pretty fast, it took less than 30 minutes if we had all the relevant documents. And, tomorrow, we can collect our passport.
After lunch, we borrowed Uncle Seng's car. Wondered around in Gurney Plaza. It was difficult to find suitable blouse or t-shirt for PL at this moment. Our victory is 2 pieces of Giordano t-shirts.

Going to take a few days off soon.

CC brought back 2 pieces of roll cakes from his training class. Those will become PL's breakfast.

We went to watch X-men after PL made her decision on a list of "now showing".
Kind of bored. Perhaps, we have high expectation. Started to think of getting DVD for other movies, instead of stepping into cineplex in recent days. The screen began with a series of world cup sponsors' advertisement which takes about 20 minutes !

17 June 2006 : Grocery + .....
We went to check out Aussie trip with a travel agent.
The girl did not have enthusiasm to introduce us the package, even give us the package other than we asked for. Guess there is no commission for her.
However, there are some information obtained.
A grocery shopping lasted about 1 hour in JJ. It is great to see the freeze is fully occupied again.
The lunch will be steamed fish with rice...and perhaps, the durians.
CC joined the community meeting held at 11am. Yeah.. he is always late for the meeting.

16 June 2006 : Days without boss
Boss left PL & her co-workers this Tuesday.
PL did join the Monday dinner but not the Tuesday dinner. She was feeling butterflies in stomach after 3 consecutive day of big feast.
This is the 4th day without a boss. Today, PL received ePR, eSA & etc that needed her approval. Her colleagues seemed to support her as their acting boss. Kept on proposing to her on taking up the responsibilties. PL does not mind taking up but the gap between her & previous boss is 3 levels even she is the highest ranking in the department.
CC was cleaning the house when PL stepped into the living room at late evening. It was great to be weekend again. Feel like going home early nowadays.
Home is always warm & cosy.

12 June 2006 : Yeow's declaration
Yeow told mom on his relationship. Mom smiled in her voice when calling PL.
Ha... PL does not need to keep the secret anymore although she has told Hong. But Hong will not tell mom till Yeow declared.
Being the youngest is almost being the pampered. We did not pamper him but always found him cute even at this age. This is what he wrote :
"Now, I had to wake up early on Saturday and Sunday morning since I have to be more discipline on my life now. FYI, I usually have my lunch as my first meal on Sunday. Anyway, I am willing and more than happy to do so. The answer is simple. Girl can make a guy change! Keke….."
Ha... PL does not need to keep the secret anymore although she has told Hong. But Hong will not tell mom till Yeow declared.

We did not know what to buy for dad. Thus, we decided to get a cake since the whole Lai's family was back in tgk. Delicious coffee walnut.
It became our dessert last evening after dinner.

4 June 2006 : Normal days
Yesterday, visited slyn & bb.
Chatted for a while on pregnancy before we met wsan, lpeng & poh ling at Greenland. We ordered the set A which comprises curry fish head, yam ring, prawns, seafood pancake, vege & tou fu.
Still able to catch PL's Wisely as we went to slyn's house after the dinner.
Bought mosquito killer. Can try it out tonite. The smell of ridset is too strong. It would be better to find a non-toxic method for a healthy sleep.
Going to meet them again this evening in Nijyumaru.
