One evening we decorated "gingerbread" houses. The houses were made of graham crackers and we used prepared frosting and lots and lots of candy. Cala and I had a good time working on our house, which is featured a little later. In this picture from right to left is: Rachel, Derek, Mark and Cala.
I think Cala was more interested in the candy than in the actual construction of the houses.
Rachel is very creative. She and Derek collaborated on their gingerbread house.
Derek's attention to detail was phenomenal. He sanded the sides of the graham crackers so the fit perfectly together. You can see he was really getting into it.

This was my creation. And Cala's, of course. The frosting didn't hold things together and besides, I was more interested in taking pictures.
This is my mother's creation. It makes me think of the cathedral of Notre Dame.
