Issaquah..

While Bradley is in Utah for the week Joel and I have hung out a couple of times. Tonight we headed up to Issaquah to pick something up. While we were there the plan was to go out to dinner. We drove past a Red Robin and that is where we decided to eat. It was in a fancy little strip mall area. We had that choose to go outside and eat on the deck, best decision! It was nice weather and didn't have any screaming kids to deal with. From where we were sitting we could see a bridge. After dinner we had decided to go and check it out.

All In A Work Day..

We have started a new program at work and to promote it, the fresh team was asked to come up with something fun to help support it. I had talked to my fellow supervisors and decided we needed to dress up/come up with something to draw attention to us. Myles went to a costume shop and came up with these snazzy outfits.

I wouldn't have been caught dead in anything like this a couple years ago, but it was a lot of fun to be able to kick back and have fun. Its funny how the older you get the less you care about stupid things like this :)

Japanese Garden..

The last day that the Fishers were out in Seattle I had to go to work so I missed out on the fun that they had. Brad and I came up with the idea that they should go to the arboretum and hang out there until they headed back to Portland.

While walking through the park Bradley took them over to the crazy trees that he had really enjoyed the last time that we were there. Once they were inside that little park of the woods they started to hear this scream that none of them had heard before. Ended up that there was a bunch of owls in the trees.

Next to the arboretum is the Seattle Japanese Garden. That is where they ended up and it has made me totally jealous, I have been wanting to go here for a couple of years! Bradley said it was well worth the $6 to get in and we will be going there sometime soon.

Bradley also took them downtown to get a cheese steak at Tat's. This whole day sounds like a dream come true..too bad I had to be at work :( I'm glad that they were all able to have a good last day in Seattle.

We love having them come up to Seattle! Can't wait for the next time that we get to hang out with them. It can either be here or Portland..we wont' be picky :)

Today we meet up with everyone at Portage Bay Cafe for breakfast. Bradley had called and made us reservations so we were able to get right in without a wait. This experience was a TON better then the first time that we went there. Everyone stuffed their faces with yummy breakfast food and then we headed down to UW campus to go look at the library. Brad and Kim had woken up early and had walked around the U District but didn't go inside. This is something that everyone needs to see if they are in town. The building inside is so beautiful.

It was a really good day and we ended it by going on the Ave and getting gyros for dinner. I can't think of a better way to end the day. With these 2 heavy meals and all of the sun I am so ready to take a nap! Glad that the Fishers were all able to come up to Seattle and hang out for a couple of days, it makes up for us not being able to go down to Portland. We love having them up here!

Lib's Birthday..

This weekend is my birthday weekend. Originally we had planned on going down to Portland but due to some things at work I wasn't able to get it off. Ended up that I actually did get it off but just had to run into work to put in orders so I really can't complain.We had invited Drew to come up instead and last week he sent me a text asking if it would be cool if his parents came up too, double score! They are all very awesome and we always have a blast with all of them.

There are several resteranunts that Utah has that we don't have up here in Seattle. One that I have personally missed has been Cafe Rio, I think that I ate there 3 times when I went to Utah. My sister sent us a text a couple weeks ago that they had just opened on up north of us. Dream come true for me but its one of Brad's worse nightmares. He doesn't like this place and can't figure out what the big deal. It was my birthday so we went there for lunch before we headed up to the outlets.

At the outlets Bradley was giving me a hard time because I didn't really buy too much besides some jeans and a sweatshirt. He said that I was too practical with what I got but I will tell you one thing, I am really happy with what I was able to find. That is all that matters.

While we were at the outlets the Fishers were making their way up to Seattle. I had wanted to do something fancy for dinner and we made reservations for the Salmon House. Brad and I had talked about going here for a couple of years but never made it, this was a perfect time to go there.

Dirty Harry..

Tonight we met up with our friends, Jaymee and Lisa, and went to a movie. It was dollar movie night at Central Cinema and they were playing Dirty Harry. I hadn't ever seen that movie but it was pretty awesome and had one of the best movie screams that I have ever heard! It was also in such a cute little venue.

This movie theater is over in Capital Hill and is actually pretty nice. When you go in there you sit at tables and you are able to order food and drinks while you watch the show. They had it down to a science on when they took your order, gave you the food, and when you were to pay. It was all done in such a timely manner that it didn't disrupt the movie.

Now that I have watched Dirty Harry, I feel like I am needing to branch out and watch more Eastwood films. I love that guy! We know what the next movie night is going to be at our place.
