Prom Weekend

Miss Baylee went to the Jr. prom this weekend.  It pretty much took over the whole family we were so excited for her.  Friday I spent doing the running ........ fancy gloves, boutonniere and beautiful dress.  Because prom is more than just the dance these days Baylee and her date, Conner went on a date on Friday.  The date didn't quite turn out as planned as you know how boys plan things!!!!! The ice skating rink that they were going to was set to close 20 minutes after they got there! Plan B was engaged...... going back to his Mom and Dad's house to find out what the heck to do!!! They ended up getting pizza and playing at a couple of different parks. Sweet! 
Saturday was the ultimate Princess day.  A luxurious Bath.  A mani/Pedi in silver and glitter.  3 hour hair curling session (Aly has the patients of Job and the burnt fingers of a baker). A hair styling by the queen (that would be me, ok, and Aly too).  Then came the slipping on of the dress!!   I knew it would make Kenner cry and he didn't dissapoint!  She looked gorgeous!!!!!
Suz and Kaleb came over to get a peek at her and Kaleb took a few pixs.  Thanks K!!
Her date arrived a little after 4 and Kenner had the shot gun all polished and sitting against the couch......... you think I kid?   I guess Baylee and Conner had made a few jokes about it at school and so it really was funny to have it sitting there!  It was so cute seeing them try to figure out the boutonniere and corsage!  You forget how awkward that is!! 
Prom was at the Union Station building at the Gateway in SLC.  They enjoyed a delicious dinner at Typhoon, a fancy restaurant at the Gateway.  The only hitch is that the guy from the couple that they doubled with choked, like turned purple choked!  How horrifying! She felt so bad for him!
She arrived home right around midnight completely exhausted.  She is just so much fun!! We love you Bay and hope that you made some awesome memories!!!

Hello, old friend!

We had Tudi and the Passey girls here with us this weekend (so much fun, by the way!) and we were trying to remember a fun little story about Carter and it hit me that I had posted about it.  It was so much fun to just hop on the computer and at the touch of a button be able to tell the story just how it was!!!!  I miss this darn blog!  I love how I felt when I was regularly posting!  Like I was leaving little pieces of myself behind as I went.  Little crumbs to find my way back to those memories that so easily leave me anymore!  I hope that this incident will inspire me to make more of an effort!

Miss Cassidy offered to help me with the food for Baylee's birthday party and then ended up just doing it all for me. It was a ton of work and I just want her to know that it was appreciated by us all!! Cass being who she is, a caterer at heart, created a Princess Buffet and it was delicious! I hate to say that we were so excited to eat the food we all forgot to take pictures when it was all set up and gorgeous!  Sorry Cass ;(

But those that were there for the celebration remember how awesome it was.
