January 25th

Today was a LONG day! Combining clothes into the same closet and dresser, going through toys, cleaning, sorting, more sorting, etc. Here's some pictures of their room today...

It was quite the task to take two FULL closets and combine them into one closet and one dresser but we pulled it off!

Our evening was crazy too! For YW tonight I was gone from 4:45pm until 10:30pm! We went and watched three of our MiaMaids dance at halftime of their high school's girl's basketball game and then took them to In-N-Out for dinner and to plan our class activites for the next 6 months. After dropping them off at their homes we had board meeting. Brian and the boys had fun too. Brian had Elder's Quorum Presidency meeting at our home with the boys here too for 2.5 hours! To reward the boys he took them out for ice cream before bed time! Let's just say we're both exhausted!

January 24th

The main event for today....BUNKBEDS! Brayden went to preschool and Brian ran to his office and then picked up the bunkbeds and another mattress. While he was gone and Brayden was home from preschool we worked on picking up his room and getting it all ready for bunkbeds. Here's some pictures of the day...

The almost finished project! Each of those little slats had to be screwed in on both sides and Brian's drill bit didn't fit in the holes the screws went in so we stopped at this point and went to dinner, went to Ikea with Aunt Stephanie, and then went to Home Depot and WalMart before heading back home to finish it.

Easton was SO excited to climb the ladder and check it out!

How he slept the first night in his big boy bed! I need to make the duvet cover for his bed and then he'll start sleeping with that. We brought his blanket and pillow pet that he slept with in his crib so he had some "security" items to help him feel comfortable in his new bed.

Still more work to go like their matching quilts I'm making but here's how it's looking after day one!

January 23rd

A pretty quiet Sunday that started with church in the morning. With the people from the special needs ward coming to our sacrament meeting we made a big effort to be there early and we actually made it! My lesson went pretty good and we celebrated one of their birthdays with chocolate peanut butter cup cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. Brian said they are the best thing I've ever made for him and my YW love them too! Came home for lunch and naps. I slept the entire 2 + hour nap with Brayden in his bed! It was nice to snuggle with him since he's getting too big! Then we headed over to my parents for dinner with the family. Granny & Gramps joined us for dinner but Torey & Dan were at his house. Gramps is doing better and it was nice to see him out of the house. He didn't last very long without getting anxious to get back but it was nice to have them there for awhile. My Dad helped entertain him a little longer so we could play a few rounds of GOLF (the card game) with Granny. We came home and played a little as a family before bedtime. Tonight was Easton's last time in his crib! Bunkbeds tomorrow!

With it being Easton's last night in his own room, we laid down to read books together and played for awhile in his room. It's sad to have him grow up but so fun at the same time. I'm for sure missing having a baby though...he's almost 2 and that just seems so old! (And no, don't expect a baby announcement from us for awhile! We want to enjoy our boys for awhile!)

January 22nd

A few pictures of our low key Saturday that was mainly focused on waiting for Daddy to come home and Mom getting her stuff ready for her YW lesson on Sunday.

Brayden continues to love/wrestle Penny all the time. She's so good with the boys and lets them lay on her and hug her tight for awhile until she decides to go find a place to lay quietly away from the pestering.

January 21st

Today was spent most of the day at home. Brayden went to preschool while Easton and I played at home. After he got back we all had lunch and naps in preparation of our afternoon outing to Monkey Island. We ALL had 3 hour naps! It was SO nice!

Then we headed out with Betsey and her kids, Josi & Jake, to Monkey Island to play! Easton wasn't too sure at first but he got it down by the time we left and we all had a great time!

Afterwards Betsey and I pressed our luck and took the 4 kids to Cafe Rio on a FRIDAY night! We're crazy and had some crazy adventures there but we all lived and learned our lesson...take out next time! :)

January 20th

Today was a pretty low key day, thus the fact there are no pictures. We hung around the house and got some things done and snuggled on the couch together. Brian was gone and it's always an adjustment the first day of each trip, especially for Easton who is SUCH a Daddy's boy! He often thinks the heater coming on is the garage door coming up because it's Daddy or lately he has been knocking on our bedroom door and calling for Daddy because he thinks he's just in our room doing something else. It's sad and flattering for Daddy at the same time I think. We all miss him when he's gone.

The big excitement of the day was Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt coming out to babysit while I went off to Young Women's tonight. Usually it's on Tuesday nights but this week was special in the fact that we got to put on mutual for a special needs group. The group consists of kids/adults with special needs from 23 stakes in the area. They have roughly 100 that come each time with each of them having a counselor. They also have a lot of leaders that come to help put it on. They invite wards 9 times a year so it's pretty rare to be invited and we had a really great time! They are coming to put on our sacrament meeting on Sunday in return and I'm really excited for that! We did three different stations and of course the MiaMaids/Teachers got stuck with a messy one! We talked about how Nephi went and hunted to provide food for his family and his bow broke. Instead of giving them all bows and arrows, we gave them marshmellow shooters and mini marshmellows! We had a lot of fun but afterwards all the YM/YW from our ward and all us leaders were on our hands and knees cleaning them up off the gym floor! It was OH so fun! But we all came together and got it done pretty fast and it didn't ruin the evening we had with them!

The boys had a good time with Grandma & Grandpa Leavitt. The had tacos for dinner and root beer floats for dessert. They were having so much fun that they were still awake playing when I got home at 9:30pm! A BIG thanks to my parents for watching them so I could go!

January 19th

Today was a fun day! Brayden went off to preschool and I got my hair done. After Easton had a nap we all headed to Costco and came home and picked up around the house while Daddy packed to leave to work this weekend in San Diego. While we were picking up Easton's room, he was playing in his crib and decided to CLIMB OUT! He hasn't gotten out of his crib since he was 10 months! He proceeded to do it 5 times so we're thinking we'll get bunk beds next week when Brian is home again and start the transition from crib to big boy bed in the same room as Brayden! That way we can have our office back!

(Brayden was consistently out of his bed by 18 months and got a big boy bed at about 20 months so we've managed to keep Easton in a few months longer than Brayden!)

They were coloring before dinner and Easton climbed up to be with Brayden and then gave him lots of hugs and "blow kisses" or raspberries!

I'm glad they love each other! Even if they don't always show it!
