Five Months Old Already!

I can't believe my sweet baby Jane is five months old.  I want time to stand still.

Milestones:

She finally rolled over the other day for the first time.

Still no teeth that we can see.

She loves to look at herself in the mirror.  She's vain :)

She's a grabber!

She loves to communicate in whatever way she knows how.  She usually accomplishes this through body language (crazy, excited movements).

She is still such a happy girl!  She always has tons of smiles and laughs for us.  All we have to do is look at her.

Sometimes she goes unnoticed for a little bit, being the third child, but she lets us know when it's her turn!

I moved her from the bassinet to the crib in her own room the other night...a very hard thing for her Mommy to do.  I cried, but she didn't!  She only woke up once that night and slept all the way 'til 8 am!

We love this baby!  She brings us so much joy!

She loves to grab her feet and suck on them.

Chris and Kerri Visit!

Rob's brother Chris and his wife came for a quick weekend visit last Friday night.  The time went by way too fast, of course, but we packed in a ton of fun in the two days.  Kerri and I had a craft sweat shop (pics to come soon on my other blog) and "shellac"-ed our nails.    We took them to dinner at Old Town at a fun New Mexican place and then we picked up delicious Gelato for dessert.  Rob and Chris went to shoot bows and played tons of board games (a favorite past-time of theirs).  

Sunday was stake conference, so we went to that and then ate delicious stuffed porkloin for dinner with layered pudding cake for dessert (recipes on the blog) It was tons of fun and we were so sad to see them go!  We were so glad that they drove all that way for us!  Thanks for coming, guys!

Happy Valentine's Day from Us!

I love my silly little Valentines so much-even though two of them woke me up before 6 this morning.  Love them to bits!

I love this man more than words can say!  I'm so happy that he chose me and that I said, "Yes!" almost 8 years ago.

This pretty baby has me wrapped around her little finger.  I can't get enough of her snuggles and smiles and laughs.

New Backyard Toy!

We got a new outdoor toy a few weeks ago and "Rob-the-amazing" spent 5 hours putting it together.   There were 134 bolts and 67 bars.  His poor hands were raw afterwards.  It was worth it, though 'cause the kids love it, as I knew they would.

 Natalie couldn't wait to hang upside down on it.

 Blake was a little shy about getting on it after it was all done because he fell off on his head on the cement while Rob was putting it together.  Poor kid.  But he's warmed up to it now.

 Natalie is my little climber.  

Rob had to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Sisters

Each of my children are so precious to me, but I just love capturing the sweet connection between these sisters.  They have a special love that only sisters have.  They already do "girl talk" sessions where Jane "coo"s and giggles and uses body language to try to communicate with Natalie.  Jane just lights up when Natalie gets home from school each day.  It makes me so happy to see them together.  Natalie told me the other day that Jane would always be her best friend, and I hope that is so.

Natalie's 100th Day of Kindergarten!

My sweet little girl already had her 100th day of Kindergarten!  The school year is really flying by.

Her class celebrated by having a "fake tea party" as she called it, because she told me that real tea is bad for us.  They had punch and cookies.  They made "100 day" crowns with school buses on them that counted by tens.  They also strung cute necklaces with 100 fruit loops on them.  Each class member was supposed to bring in 100 of something so they could weigh and sort the items.  Natalie brought 100 pennies.

We sure love our Natalie girl, and we miss her when she's at school all day, but I know that she's there having fun and learning lots.  She's so cute-she comes home singing new songs everyday about words and letters.  She has a wonderful teacher.
