Pinkalicious Party #2! :)

so our family birthday party for Chloe was held the night of her actual birthday...more cupcakes, more pink, more fun!

we had pink hamballs, pink mashed potatoes, pink lemonade, green bean casserole, green jello, etc!

Miss Chloe,

it has been 3 years since you entered our lives and the blessings overflow every single day you grace us with your presence.  You are becoming such an articulate, genuine, caring, sweet natured, loving, spunky, hillarious, endearing little girl and I am so proud to be your mama!!!  We thank God for giving you to us and entrusting us to raise you and guide you and help you learn and grow, and I cannot express how lucky I am to be your mommy.  This year has been filled with lots of laughter, lots of dramatic moments, but most especially lots of sweet tender love from you and your inquisitive nature and I look forward to seeing what the next year and years holds for you.  Happy 3rd birthday sweet girl, we love you more than anything and pray we can continue to cherish every moment and focus on the little things you do and embrace the joy you bring to our lives.

so she wanted to go ice skating for her birthday, so that is what we did.  or....that is what we ATTEMPTED.  I knew it was NOT going to be a success as it was drama mama even getting the skates on her feet. :)  smile. :)

okay, I've had enough.  one time around the rink is good.

so Daddy convinced her "let's try one more lap and it will just be Daddy and Chloe".  Know what happened??  they fell.  :)  well...Chloe fell.  and Spencer fell.  on TOP of her.  and she cried.  and got a bloody nose.  and THAT my friends was the end of this ice capade for the 3rd birthday.  maybe we'll try again another day. :)

so mommy and daddy decided to make a few hot laps, I mean, seriously, we're not paying $20 to skate and only going to be there for 4 minutes. :)  Chloe sat with Grandma and Papa and Landon, and we wobbled around a few laps.

one final attempt after she was calmed down, this one went better, but she was still not convinced that ice skating was all she thought it was cut out to be. :)

a Pinkalicious Party!

now that the business of Christmas is over, it's time to shift gears and focus on this little diva who is turning three.  yes, three.  wow is all I can say. 

we've been planning her party and she's been super excited and helpful in choosing what she wanted to do and have, and it was just so fitting to make it a Pinkalicious Party as that is currently her f.a.v.o.r.i.t.e book right now.  This gal can recite it word for word and it just cracks me up.  Every preference of hers is pink.pink.pink so that is what we went with!  for those of you who don't know this book, it's highly recommended you get it for any little girl in your life, it's just adorable.  It's about a little girl who just LOVES pink, who eats too many pink cupcakes one day and turns pink!  the only way to correct it is to eat green food to turn back to normal. :)

we had a party for her friends a couple days before her actual birthday, and did cupcakes and ice cream....here's the birthday gal!
