Only in Arizona...

...can you eat crackers outside in your diaper during the month of February! What a beautiful week this week has been. Yesterday we got to the mid 80's and today is suppose to be a repeat of yesterday. It was a little warm compared to last week being in the 70's but we were loving it. Now, a good mommy would take their kids to the park or do some kind of good outdoor activity but I guess I am just not good. Kylee hit a growth spurt and is completely off on her normal schedule so we have been chillin here at the house so she can take her naps in her crib. She has been fighting going to sleep and sleeping in the carseat doesn't help. We had to be hermits last week in order to not bring anymore germs into our house and also so the kids could hopefully loose their colds and I think we accomplished that one. Drew's cough is almost gone, Ryan and mine are gone, and all that is left is Kylee but everyday she is sounding better. Now if only that snot in her nose would go away!

It has been nice being lazy and relaxing. I did clean closets out last weekend and got Drew a new dresser and rearranged his clothes but other than that, we are pretty boring these days. One of these days, I will make Kylee her curtains and file our taxes. I have to call Tax Act and have been putting it off because I can't get the program to do something I want it to do so hopefully these things can get done this weekend. Then next week I am hoping to be more adventurous and then it is potty training week! YAY!

Mia loves to sit by Kylee and snuggle with her. We do have to watch her carefully because she also like to nibble on her fingers.

Mia! It is pronounced meeah, not miah! We have to thank Ryan's nephews for their help. We went and showed the puppy to them on Friday and they thought of all these names of dogs in their neighborhood and Mia sounded right for both of us so Mia it is! She is a really good dog and Drew loves carrying her everywhere. This morning he put her in his wagon of blocks and was pulling her around the family room. Poor thing, but we watch him carefully with her so she doesn't get hurt. It is so nice finally having another dog. I think the wait was well worth it!

Our New Puppy!

Oh are we in love or what! Ryan got off work a little early today to bring Drew home a surprise...a new puppy. She is so cute and tiny and we love her oh so dearly. We really wanted another pekingese/shih tzu but are so hard to find in Arizona right now for some odd reason. Last week my sister's friend in her ward had puppies that she was going to sell and I happened to be over at her house and saw them and fell in love instantly. I knew the little black female one was to be apart of our family and as a result we are now proud owners of a mini schnauzer. She will probably get to be around 10 pounds and hopefully stay cute! We are having a hard time naming her...any suggestions?

4 Months Already!

Kylee had her 4 month check up today...man, time is flying. She is just under 12 lbs and almost 26 inches long. She is in the 30-40% for weight and 90% for height. I still think she is tiny but what do I know. She is officially on formula now. It turns out I wasn't producing enough milk for her and rather than nurse and then feed her another 2 oz of formula and spending 45 min. at each feeding, I decided to stop nursing. It was hard on me because I seriously couldn't eat anything with any kind of spice in it, plus no chocolate for two weeks was really hard. Lets just say this past weekend I overindulged on some chocolate. Oh man, did I miss it! But now I am back on my diet and hopefully can lose these last 12 pounds. I have the hardest time loosing weight when I nurse because I am always hungry. Yesterday was so weird not having to snack so much. I feel so much better about myself because I am not always snacking. Anyways, Kylee now rolls from her tummy to her back and can roll from her back to her side but not quite all the way. She loves to smile, laugh, and coo. She has quite the voice. She loves to eat her hands and grab her right foot. She still is content as ever just chillin on the floor watching her surroundings. And as of Sunday night, she now sleeps through the night!!!! YAY, I am so happy. I have had so much energy and feel like I am not losing my mind these past few days. I seriously think I was starving her and that is why she would wake up in the middle of the night, but now she is content as can be since being on formula!









So, I couldn't find my camera today, so no pics of Kylee. Sorry, Ryan decided to take it to work after I searched the house everywhere for it today. But this pic of Drew is out front. He no longer likes to get the mail with me but rather sit on our little wall we have by the front door. He looked so cute the first time he got up there and just sat and waited for me to come back from the mailbox, I had to take a picture. We love this little monkey. Sorry his hair is a mess. I didn't do it that day. He has 3 out of 4 molars come in these past few weeks. Drew is such a drama king when something is bother him. I guess he gets that from Daddy! He can't wait for this weekend when we bring home our new puppy! Yep, we finally found one and will post about her as soon as we bring her home! Stay tuned....

Germ Free??

I am hoping February is a much healthier month for us. I feel like someone has been sick in our house since the middle of December. I can't wait for the cold season to be gone. I guess, in a way, I am looking forward to Spring and Summer! It definitely feels like Spring with these 70 degree temps. I love living in Arizona. Anyways, my kiddos were sick for weeks and Drew got his 2 yr. molars on top of a nasty cold. Ya, whiny kid is not fun when it involves Drew. Then last week I got sick with this nasty head cold. It started out as a sore throat and every day something new was added. I had ear aches, bad headaches, nasty looking eyes, and a cough. This morning was the first time in over a week that I woke up to my throat only slightly hurting, no cough, and no crusties on the eyes. My eyes feel so much better today. I hope I am finally on the road to recovery. It is not fun when Mom is sick. Ryan was such a great husband, he went into work late a few days last week so I could get 2 more hours of sleep. Kylee has been keeping me up at night while I was sick. She has been having stomach aches and I finally figured it out. She doesn't like it when I eat chocolate, anything with acid in it such as citrus, and Mexican Food (the spiciness I am assuming). So I was chocolate free for a whole week until last night when I accidentally ate half a cookie. I was hoping it wouldn't bother her too much because it was only half a chocolate chip cookie but her last 2 feedings she hasn't liked my milk and had a horrible morning nap. Both kids are down for their afternoon nap so hopefully I can squeeze a nice little nap in as well. So now I am being more careful as to what I eat and that seems to help. I have a doctor's appointment in a few days for her so I have lots of questions to ask. She is getting better on sleeping in the night. I usually have to go in at 4 AM to put her binky in her mouth and then feed her between 5 and 6, but I can't wait till she will sleep until 7 or 8. I hope it is soon! I really need to get more sleep at night.

Can I say Linus...recently Drew has to take his blanket everywhere. It drives me crazy!

Drew of course started the terrible 2's this past week. I am hoping his attitude will get better once all his teeth are in. He still has one more that needs to break through. Keep your fingers crossed that our house becomes germ free soon so we can have happy kids and happy Mom!!!
