just a quick update on the hubble family

I know that OK has done some post over the last 3 months, but it has been a while. Since March 8, 2012 we have been super busy. Seath is growing like a weed, at his 2month appointment he was just shy of 15lbs. Rory is doing good, she is now in speech therapy twice a week 30mins each time. We are still having a hard time getting her to learn things at home (I hope she grows out of that soon). May 4th we went to Florida for 10 days to see my mom for her birthday. Rory had a blast and keeps asking when we can go back (its going to be a little while before we can go back) and Seath really did not care as long as daddy was carrying him and mommy was close by when he wanted to eat. I will post photos soon (I hope).

Hubble's retrain has been pushed back for ANOTHER year, which means being stuck in Vegas just that much longer. I had my re-inspection today to get my daycare licence back. I had an interview the other day to take on a 3yr old little girl one week a month. I really hope I actually get her, Rory really needs another little one close to her age to play with. I think that is all for now. I will try to post some new photos soon.

Really Rory...

So if you have been keeping up with our posts, you already know that Amber and I have started to watch The Big Bang Theory... I have expressed to Amber that I want to get some shirts that they wear on the show (only for the fact that they bother her). Well, Amber was at Target getting some things and saw a shirt that she "just had to get me". The shirt has a photo of the cast on it along with the word "BAZINGA!". Bazinga is a term that is used by one member of the cast after he makes a joke.

Once again, it's time for a story... Amber has told me many times in the past, "I don't know when you are joking around because you look and sound serious". So after watching this great show, I thought it may help her out a lot if I used "Bazinga!" to let her know it was all just a joke. Now that I do that, Amber catches my jokes more.
For example (over text):
Me: "What I need, you can't give me...So I guess I have to go elsewhere to get it"
Amber: "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!"
Me: "Sleep"
Me: "Bazinga!"
Amber: "LOL"

Now the big problem that we have in the house is the fact that Rory can not stand me saying it to Amber. Everytime I say it, she will walk up to me with a mad face and say, "you no tell mommy that". So here is a picture of Rory and my new shirt... (make sure to read under the photo)

We asked Rory if she likes daddy's new shirt...in response she told us NO. when we asked her what she did not like about it she pointed out the word "Bazinga". She is way too happy to dislike a shirt this much.

Sam's Club

So we went to Sam's Club today to get a few things and as we leave, like they always do, they drew a happy face on the receipt. They always hand it to Rory, and when she gets it she always gives it a hug. Well, as we walked out, Amber took it because of the wind and needed to keep it. When we got to the car, Rory asked for it back. Amber being quick on her feet drew a happy face on a different receipt and gave it to Rory. Rory looked upset at this. We asked her if it was pretty and she was fast to say "no". She then said "it's not pretty anymore, mommy did it".

Seath

So it has now been a month since Seath has come into our lives. Needless to say, Amber has had no sleep since. I say that it is for the fact that he loves her so much that he wants so spend so much time with her, but the real reason is for the fact that he eats all the time. The last time we weighed him he was 11 pounds. He also has the strength of his father... He holds up his head to look around and if you support him, he tries to stand.

Other than that, we did our family photos. Nothing big, just needed something to show that we were a family of 4 now. A set of friends watched Rory and Seath for us to go to the movies for my birthday. We had a great time out, but Amber started to cry once the door closed.

As for Seath, he does not cry all that much (only when Amber does not feed him every hour on the hour). Rory pets him like a dog, which is funny. She is so happy that he is here, she gives him hugs and kisses every night before bed. Seath asked me why she has to be so loud and I didn't have an answer for him. He also wanted to know why the woman with brown hair never puts him down. He has no real clue on who I am just for the fact that Amber is always feeding him. On the other hand, he does seem to love daddy time, when he gets it.




We also went to Sea World at the end of March and Rory was really mad that she could not ride any of the rides there, but she loved watching the shows and looking at the animals. Before we went to Sea World, Amber and I watched 3 seasons of The Big Bang Theory I learned ways to have Rory listen to us. So when Rory listens to us, we give her a piece of candy. She has now started to listen to us and I'm thinking about starting the same program with Amber to see if it still works.



 Other than that, not much is going on, so I will be back soon to post more pictures and to write.
