Mid-America Arts Alliance has received a two-year, $850,000 grant renewal from the Windgate Foundation to continue and expand Catalyze, its artist-centered fellowship program. The investment will support two additional cohorts in 2027–2028 and extend the program’s reach to 52 counties across central, eastern, and Delta Arkansas.

Four years and 100 fellowships in, Catalyze has a track record worth examining. Fellows report lasting gains in their creative practices, a growing share of income from their art, and stronger financial security, and the Windgate Foundation’s $850,000 renewal will now expand the program into 52 Arkansas counties.

Engage Express Lubbock, a program of Mid-America Arts Alliance, will equip local arts and cultural organizations with tailored coaching, practical tools, and a collaborative network to strengthen their organizations and deepen community impact.

M-AAA’s Engage US pilot is helping 78 arts organizations across 31 states and the District of Columbia build stronger leadership, governance, and fundraising through coaching and peer learning.

Future Pathways offers free virtual workshops to help arts leaders strengthen sustainability, manage burnout, and build resilient creative organizations.

Individual artists and nonprofit arts organizations in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, and the Native Nations that share this geography can now apply for grants of up to $15,000 to create and present new artistic work through the M-AAA Artistic Innovations grant program.
