Kikki K is fast becoming one of my favourite shops. The stuff they have there may be quite expensive, but it is really good quality and really beautifully designed. And the company is AUSSIE! Window shopping there makes me want to go all Mr. Monk on my room.

What the hell is it about stationery that makes people want to spend hours in shops like this one or Officeworks? This place also has really cool gifts which I won't mention on this page, because some people still haven't received their Christmas presents yet and may make the wrong (or right, depending on who you are) assumption that I've bought stuff for them from here.

Speaking of Christmas, Christmas Eve was perhaps the first time both my nephews and niece were over at my place. It was chaos, but of the really fun kind when you have three kids under five in the same small flat. It was something I could totally get used to, but at the same time, it makes me wonder how I'd be able to handle being a parent to kids in the same age range. There is a lot of growing up to do, methinks.

This upcoming New Years' Eve will be a quiet one for me. Looks like I will be spending it the nerdy way - playing World of Warcraft and waiting in Dalaran or somewhere like that for the clock to hit twelve and then yelling "HAPPY NEW YEAR" in General chat. But holy shit, 2011 will be the first year in which there will be New Year's Resolutions for me. Yeah you heard right. I never believed in making those before, seeing as though according to the TV, everyone has only ONE resolution: to lose weight. It's the same resolution EVERY SINGLE YEAR. But it's not one of mine! (Getting fit is one of mine, so it's not all cliché-free.)

So how do you think next year will look for you? Next year will be pretty damn busy for me, seeing as though at least two TAFE courses are in the pipeline in my head. The first is the Certificate II in Music, which I've already been accepted into and only need to actually enrol for, and that can't happen for another week or so. The second is the Diploma in Business Admin, which hopefully will be done online to fit around my Music stuff. So that's a bit of the finances gobbled up already.

Nope, still no work at the moment. Sigh. But hopefully that will change soon. Fingers crossed.

So. um. Where to begin.

So much to catch up on! bluetooth16 and booksbagsshoes, you who I don't have on my Facebook friends list, how ARE we all?!

A few days ago, I downloaded the new patch for World of Warcraft, but it looks like I'll have to reinstall it, because I keep getting this error that shuts the damn thing down every time I try to log on. It's seriously killing my Warcraft progress here - even though my first character is already at level 80, there are heaps of raids to do, SO much gear to find and all that. Not to mention the new characters I have :)

Can't WAIT for December. Jebediah gig at the Annandale! World of Warcraft: Cataclysm! New Marian Call album! Doctor Who Christmas episode! Note: Cataclysm will be out a few days after the Jebs gig. I was chatting with a friend earlier and I imagined hugging myself during the gig and going, *rocks back and forth* NEED - TO - PLAY - WOW.

Looks like I'll be an aunty for the third time in a few days! There is a lot of excitement in the air. Mum has been telling the little one to hurry up and pop out, because she has to go back to work in a few weeks, so yeah.

Sigh. I miss the Chaser. Been watching highlights from YouTube since a friend linked me to one of them. But this one has got to be my personal favourite, for obvious reasons:

I had a freakin' five-hour nap at six in the afternoon. Meaning I woke up at eleven and really am in no mood to go back to Bedfordshire. But have to, somehow, sometime.

Planned meal for tomorrow: Creamy mushroom and capsicum pasta with ham. The best before date for the mushrooms I bought was last Friday, I think, so hopefully the mushrooms are still usable. I haven't exactly had the time to cook much what with TAFE and that shit.

A few days ago I went through my favourite videos on YouTube and organised them into playlists. So you can imagine, the Doctor Who, Bob Evans and Jebediah playlists are pretty long :) Can I just say how shitty it is that the music videos for the singles from the Jebs' self-titled album are SO FUCKING RARE. I mean, I remember seeing the vid for "Fall Down" heaps on Video Hits years and years ago. And I remember hearing "Nothing Lasts Forever" a few times. A friend has told me that their vid for NDC is the rarest of all though.

But anyways:

( Lots of vids embedded here!Collapse )

Last day of Tafe coming up Monday. Stressed cos some shit has to be finished, and it isn't. And then, back to the grind of jobhunting. Sigh, but at least I will have some qualifications under my belt.

but i'm doing this from my mobile. Doing all that lj-cut stuff and other things involving weird symbols can get a bit time consuming on this little gadget. It's a Nokia E71 if anyone wants to know. And i love being able to connect to the net from my mobile! If you're stuck on something when you're playing wow for example, you don't have to minimise the program to look for stuff. You can just get on your phone. And i can actually connect to my home internet rather than having to waste heaps of bandwidth using the mobile internet stuff the mobile company gives you, you can save it for when you're outtt of the house. Yeah, stop babbling, Jen and go to sleep. You really need it.

It doesn't really feel like four years ago when David Tennant was the new Doctor in Doctor Who. And then three seasons happened plus some Christmas specials and other non-Christmas specials, plus a few animated stuff and all that. All that adds up to less than two seasons of US TV shows, that's how fast it's all gone.

But I totally love Matt Smith, absolutely have when I found out he was going to be the eleventh Doctor and recognised the guy from The Ruby In The Smoke.

( Episode 5x01: The Eleventh Hour reaction post. Of course there will be spoilers.Collapse )

I think that's a long enough reaction post, especially for 2am in the morning. Good night.

What, me, going to sleep early? Yeah that's right bitches. Thanks to this little thing called TAFE I have been busy during most regular business hours, so that's tired me up quite a bit.

The past few years I'd been going to sleep at ungodly hours. Like on weekdays I'd sleep from 2am-12pm and the weekends it would be about 4am until 1- or 2-ish pm. And I could never bring myself to sleep that much earlier, because I never really had much to do and so I wouldn't get tired. So is it strange to feel some sense of achievement to sleep at a regular time? Shit, as kids, everyone who was in the right mind in my opinion would relish the opportunity to stay up late.

But now ... sleep is good.

Goodnight!

Yes, this entry is public, bitches.
