Join the LiveJournal Revival! Are you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community. From the Dead
So The Business actually played in Canada for the first time. Anyone here went to the show? If not then not so much in OI news, it's the Sex Pistols and Lydons still being Lydon. LA at the Roxy. Sorry I can see Sid turning over in his grave. Here's have you... http://www.thefilthandthefury.co.uk/news.htm |

This is What Punk is Now?
Guess Oi has died out here, at least for this site. Oh well, I can't change it because I can't remember the freaking password to my own community ha ha. On other news, just picked up Sham 69 "The Albums" for $45. They had another one that was 11 songs short and only 3 albums, but some of the songs were not on this one. Anyone know if I made the best decision? The songs on the other one that are not on this one, are they any good at all? I'd hate to buy it later on, just for a few songs that I don't have, but if they're really good, then I'd be willing to do it. Hell I have a second version of Last Resort which is all the songs in different order then the original Last Resort I have. Speaking of, theres a US band now called Last Resort. Isn't there copyright laws against that? I'm speaking of the Oi Punk band from the 80's. That is the original Last Resort. I'm probably just talking to myself now, ha ha... |

Sham 69
Ok rewatched D.O.A. last night and decided to get a Sham 69 live in Japan CD. Now for some reason I never got into Sham 69, don't know why. Now I'm really enjoying songs I haven't heard from them. Now this place is pretty much D.O.A. itself, but if anyone still exists in these parts, any suggestions on what are good Sham 69 cd's to get? I did see a box set for $45, but didn't quite want to spend that much today. So anyone? Anyone alive? |

Kings & Queens
Just got the new Anti-Nowhere League album. Not sure how many of you consider them as pure "Oi" or not. Anyways, my review of this album is great. A hell of a lot better then their last (which was in 2000 I think). Regardless, it's great to see some good ole' 80's (and 70's) Oi bands still producing the Oi in the 2000's. With that out of the way, it seems that the ANWL has brought back some old style punk from the 70's. Several songs, sounded like the old Sex Pistols music did with Sid. Also some with some 50's influence, with modern raw Oi as well. To summerize (sp?), I'm impressed by the new Anti-Nowhere League album. Hey I don't see the Buisness nor the Angelic Upstarts yet in 2006 yet? Anyways, that's just that. Carry on the tradition, oi oi oi!!! |

Are you sick of the typical bullshit related Christmas and Chanukah? We think it's time celebrate a holiday that is more related to the working class. As traditional skinheads we feel that the modern and radical holiday which is Kwanzaa is an excellent representation of the working class soul.We are not welcoming racist boneheads who give us a bad name with their blatant ignorance, nor are we welcoming SHARPS, whose political obsessions would unfortunately distract us from the true spirit that is Kwanzaa. We are APOLITICAL TRADS who are interested in getting together for the first Traditional Skinhead Kwanzaa ever. We are sick of the same old bullshit. The constant misconceptions about what a TRAD is and the way that socety misrepresents us. We are working class individuals with an interest in having a Kwanzaa celebration. Also, let's get really fucking smashed! When:Sunday Jan 01, 2006 at 8:00 PM Where:360 Newbury Boston, MA 02115 US |
