.....

Well, everything's been pretty much the same old, same old for the past couple of weeks. However, tomarrow is something different though. Tomarrow, my workplace is closed for the holiday, but I have to go to an in-service/conference at WV State University. It's supposed to be from 8:30-3:30, but according to some of my co-workers, we'll probably get out earlier then that. So, here's going for getting out really early. On the plus side, my mother went out and got me a bunch of new polo/work shirts, which is awsome because, that's basically all that I wear, shirt wise. I'm a bit pissed about the weekend because, I spent a lot of it doing nothing and then unsucessfully attempting to buy a new car. I must say, I do hate car dealers. I've also been kind of a crappy mood lately, but I don't know if that's just being busy at work or what. Oh well at least the actual doing work part of the work week will be a day short this week so, that'll be kind of nice. It'll also be nice, since this weekend is a pay weekend. I'm not going to do anything with the cash since most of it will go to bills and savings, but it'll be nice to have. I'm thinking about trying to check out the used book sale that supposed to be happeing in Charleston this weekend. Well, I guess I can hope this next weekend will be better then this one.

Feel Free To Think About Me When You Masturbate, I'm Ok With That.

Long time no post, huh? Everything's alright at work and such. Although, I rubbed up against a some truck's bumper while pulling out of a parking space in Roane county and it pushed out my blinker so that it fell on the ground. I have to have a new one put in on Monday in turn I have to leave work early that day and then work an hour or so later on Tuesday. The thing that really pisses me off though, is that it didn't really do a damn thing to the truck's bummper at all. God, I'd hate to think what would happen if I got into a wreck in this car if that's what happens when I barely rub someone's bummper. Oh well, at least it won't be as much as I thought it would be to get a new one. I've been thinking lately about how a lot of the bands that I currently listen to or are getting back into now, are always bands at one point or another in my life that I have stopped listening to and decided that I didn't like for one reason or another for a period of time. It's happened to The Beatles, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, Television, Galaxie 500, The Velvet Underground, Dylan, and so on and on. I think that since my late teens up to now, I've been having a bit of a musical crisis, in that I had the chance to discover so many new bands, especially in college that I kind of jumped from being obessed with one set of bands to another every so often. I'm pretty much sure that it's over at this point though. Although, I doubt I'll ever give anyone a complete answer to the question 'What kind of music do you listen to/like?." I don't think it's even worth going into with most people so, I'll just stick to naming one or two genres and get on with it. I need to start doing some major reading again, I've kind of let it slack off here lately, but to be fair I usually go through books pretty fast so, maybe I just need to take a break for a bit. On the plus side, the bookcase in my room is almost fool and it doesn't even contain all the books I've read, but can't remember them all since I was younger or it was before I started trying to collect every book I've read. I think I might get a new computer game this weekend. I beat Doom 3 and I haven't been able to play Half-Life 2 yet because to install it, you have to download shit from the company's website and well, I have dial-up so that is going to take fucking forever. On the plus side, at least the movie, The Puffy Chair is pretty damn good and I would recomend checking it out. I like the fact that it's fairly realistic and the ending is a good one too. Well, I'm off to Circut City and maybe Wal-Mart to see what I can find.

Work today was kind of alright to start with, I mean I did get a lot of the work that was piling up around me done today, but by the same extent I had a difficult shift up at the front desk. It seemed that everyone in the world just decided to call in-between 12:30 and 2:30. Oh well, I got by it with only a few hitches and learning that no matter what I think may be the case with policy there can ocassionally be another way to look at it or it can stand for something completely different. Oh well, I'll get it all eventually. I'm still on the search for an apartment. So far, most of the stuff that I've seen in the paper has been rented already by the time I call them. The one place I did check out this past weekend turned out to be a bit of a dump. Especially, in the fact that the only way to reach it was to go down a very small alley-way type road and apperently I would have to just take my chances with getting a parking spot close to it, since there was no room for parking in the alley entrence way. I think I'll ask Melissa to do something again this weekend, what I have no idea, but I think that I would like to get together with her again. Plus, it'll be nice to have plans for the weekend, for a change. Also, I have to say that despite that period I went through in college, I really don't hate modern art as much as it doesn't really speak to me all that much or at least as much as I think visual art should. I mean, a lot of it seems to be flowing into the abstract realm which works well in the form of music, but in the form of visual media one can make things so abstract that they lose all meaning to the viewer. Again, maybe that's one of the contributing factors to my love of Andy Warhol's art. He seemed to realize how silly abstract visual art was getting and brought it back to soemthing that everyone could identify with, popular culture or pop art. I mean, the painting of just banana with the words 'Peel Slowly and See' written near the top may not seem like high class art to some, but to me it actually speaks to me. I mean it's something that can be understood in the everyday since as a piece of food, but upon closer inspection, one could see it as sexual imagery or as a statment about the music of The Velvet Underground (the painting was created as the cover art for one of their albums). I guess I really just needed someone to shock me out of the funk I was goin through in college and my rejection of pretty much all modern visual art. I really wish that tomarrow could be a Friday again. For the most part I tend to enjoy Fridays at my job the most, except or this past Friday. God that day was a mess and another couple of reason why I don't want children and one of these days I'm going to buy myself an operation for Christmas to help make sure of that. First things first, is finding a place of my own and then having a house warming party that kicks out the jams.

I Wonder Why All The Wonder Falls On Me?

I know I keep saying that I will update this thing and never do, but I swear I will do it more often. The most recent update in my life is that my almost hermit self, finally got up of my ass and went out with someone. That someone would be a girl named Melissa that I've known since elementary school and the something that we did would be going to see the Simpsons movie and then spend about five or so hours sitting around talking at Books-A-Million and in the Home Depot parking light. It was nice and I enjoyed myself. The next two days kind of sucked as I spent much of Saturday in a depressive slump. Thankfully though, my mother was gone with friends for most of the day. I kind of wish that I had gone out on Saturday now though, but I have no idea what I would have done. Although, I get paid this upcomming week so, I might be able to go out and do something next weekend. I at least know that I'm going to go look for apartments with my mother this Saturday. Here's hopeing for some luck on that since I would like to move out as soon as I can. It's very true that you can't go home again. Even just after going to college. Sad, but true.

I don't really know what's wrong with me. I mean, I've known for a long time that I can be over sensitives in certain situations and that I have been depressed for a while now. I just wish I could out of this funk that I'm in, or maybe that's just life at this moment. I got invited to a party at work, for a guy I work with, tonight, but I didn't go because I thought I might have a chance at asking out this girl I knew from high school. However, that didn't work out all that well, since I have yet to have a chance to talk to her. I also learned that my mother says that she's going to seriously start looking to buy a home in the very near future (three months or so) and that I'm welcome to come live with her if I don't have my own place yet, but that my cat can't come. So, I need to find a place to live in that period of time or I'm going to be semi-homeless for a bit of time because, the cat is comming with me. I wonder what she would say if someone said you can move into this home, but someone close to her was not allowed to step foot in the house. Most likely, she would decline that offer, but it's ok to so to my cat. I find this ammusing since, she is the one that located my cat for me and finally said yes to letting him live here. I'm also a jerk appearently too since I don't like some memembers of my family and some of our family friends. However, it's ok for my mother to badmouth them though. Not that she would ever admit to that though. Oh well, it less shitty news, I've rediscoverd and refell in love with the band Low. Amazing stuff right there. Other than that, I've been devoting most of my free time to trying to beat the two new video games I bought for my Gamecube, Geist and Splinter Cell:Double Agent. Also, for anyone who cares, I have a new; semi-updated Facebook account (I had to create a new one since I forgot the information needed to get access to my old account). I don't know, I'm just not in a very good mood right now and I've probably said somethings I didn't mean tonight, but that doesn't mean that I'm any less frustrated...mostly frustrated about myself. God, sometimes I can sure suck.

Very interesting news everyone. I got pulled over by the cops today, for the first time in my life. The really interesting thing is that it wasn't for anything fun like speeding or such. I got pulled over following to closely, yep that's what it says on my warning. Wonderfull shit, I should have known that the day was going to be a shitty one from there. On top of some other things with my paycheck I also got a form letter telling me that other people in my office are getting a raise. Beautiful, huh? Oh well, at least it's over with and it's the weekend. Let's hope.

Kizza Me, Kizza You

I never keep up my promises to update this thing regularly do I? At least this weekend is going pretty good. Yesterday was my company's annual pinic out at Coonskin park and I had a pretty good time. It wasn't extremely exciting, but I still had a good time. Then I also stopped by Books-A-Million and just as I was getting ready to leave, I ran into Shalena and we ended up talking for an hour or so. I even walked back with her to get her register and hung out with her back there. I actually also convinced Sheri to let me walk her and this new guy to the front with their register drawers, which a manager is supposed to do. The only crappy things is that that place seems to have really gone down the crapper since I left and I really hope that Shalena gets one of the many jobs she applying for. She deserves the jobs, but I do have the secondary motive that I would like her to have some regular hours off so that we could finally go out. It was nice seeing her again though and I hate to say it, but I do miss working at the store every once in a while. I don't plan on ever going back at all, as an employee, but it's still nice to think back and to visit every once in a while. I think I'm finally going to clean up my room today as well, I really need to get this stuff up out of the floor. Also, once I get the rest of my CD's onto my computer I can finally make some more mix-CD's. Well, I'm off to work on my room and to feed my cat before he goes nuts. I just wanted to keep this thing alive and state that I'm having one of the better weekends I've had in a while. Later.

Thank goodness that it's almost the weekend again. This week has not been fun. I do have to say that I'm starting to get into more and mor of the whole garage rock scene. It's pretty amazing that a lot these bands were and still pretty much ignored by most. I tell you I may listen to a lot of stuff, but the 60's is the start point for me. I mean, come that time period had two of the greatest bands come out, The Beatles and The Velvet Underground. That's enough right there, but there was so much more. Although, I still say I hate the hippies and the idea that any music from the sixties is actually related to The Greatful Dead or Jefferson Airplane. You know, speaking of music, I actually had a couple of really great experiences at work based around the fact that I know a hell of a lot about music. Oh, let's face it, I'm absoultly obessed with music. I think I might try and see another movie this weekend. I don't really know what's playing, but it might be good just to take a chance on something. Who knows, I might actually like it. Speaking of movies, I've also realized that for one reason or another I have an odd obession with romantic comedies. I mean I own a copy of and love the movie When Harry Met Salley and I just recently watched Notting Hill for most of a weekend afternoon. They must strike a cord with my softer side, which I guess is alright as long as I don't start thinking that all of the sides of me are other personalities, right? Haha. Well, I'm off to bed and hopefully my week will end much better then the rest of the week.

What The Hell Is Wrong With Me?

I really should start using this thing more often. Oh well. Not much going on here, just enjoying the weekend. Although, I would like to recant something I said while working at B-A-M, Television is one of the most amazing bands ever. I think that recently I've just been going through some sort of crsis in my life and my taste have been changing a lot over and over. I think I'm over that though, thank goodness. So, in conclusion Television (the band) rocks and are one of the greatest bands of all time. I got invited to go out with some of my co-workers tonight, but I didn't feel like going to the Tomahawk bar and grill so, I think I'm just not going to go. Not to mention, that I'm not really sure if we'd all get along that amazingly outside of work. Don't get me wrong they are all amazingly cool people and we'd probabl have a pretty good time and all, it's just tht...oh I don't really know. In further news, I'm thinking about looking into how much a one-bedroom apartment cost over it at Roxalana Hills. If it's not that bad, I may consider moving into one as my first place. Some may think it weird to not mind living that close to my mother, but she's already stated her plas to move out a while after I do. Well, I'm tired of typing so I'm going to do some mouse clicking now. By the way, if you haven't already check out Superdickery.com. Later.

Go, Go Jesus Patrol!

Sometimes I don't know if some of the things I see in this state are more funny then they are scary or the other way around. Today, when I was driving home, I saw a blue van that had stickers and such all over it. Most of them were just things like crosses and American flags, but on the back window there was one decal that said 'Jesus Patrol.' This caught me really off guard, what in the hell could that mean. Also, it became a bit hard to control the car when I wanted fall on the floor with laughter. Other then that, my life has been pretty uneventfull as of lately. Like I said in the previous journal entry I'm spending most of my time with my music (really getting back into stuff like The Cure and Bowie), but I still do a bit of reading now and then. The job is still going good and I believe that I keep getting better at it as each day goes by. I don't know what the weekend holds, but I'm thinking about checking out Grindhouse it looks like campy and good fun.
