Okay, I'm in a minor freak out, but it's a good freak out (ultimately... I mean a productive freak out is a good freak out...right?) and I need anyone with business advice to jump in and, well, advise!
background---> I'm in WI, I make custom embroidered kids clothes and I'm selling on ebay at the moment ( under the name *bat-girl* check me out if you have time) I'm hoping to have a website up ASAP (it's taken months..) but I am really in need of some words from people who have done or are doing the WAHM/ biz owner thing. Anything appreciated. ( Read more...Collapse ) |

Maybe someone here can help me-
I'm in SW wisconsin (between madison and la crosse) and I'm looking for a decent place to find my next sewing machine...
My current machine is just a run of the mill straight sewing deal, but seeing as how I'd like to take my crafting to the next level and I might *gasp* even try selling more stuff I want a machine with some more 'bells and whistles'... In fact, i was thinking it might be fun to have a combo sewing/ embroidery machine- and I'd gladly take any feedback on personal experiences w/ any of those sorts of beasts! Has anyone here had a really good or really bad experience w/ a dealer in WI that you'd like to share? is there a publication for the region where people like to sell machines second hand?
Thanks for any info! |

This is my very first attempt at making a skirt. It is kinda messed up, I think. My seams at the waist band are not very straight.
Any ideas on what I could do to improve it? Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
