hi, i'm colette, and i recently joined this community after finding it on an interest search for "sledding." It's great to find people who agree that "el invierno" is the best season ever. Below, my favorite parts of winter:
-Christmas. hands down, that is the the best part of the year for me, period. i just love the pretty lights and cooking smells and hustle and bustle of the holiday season. it puts me in such a great mood.
-skiing. I just learned last winter, but i've taken four or five trips by now, and i love it.
-chunky sweaters, warm scarves, and coats. i'm a winter clothing fiend.
-hot cocoa/cappachinos.
-playing in the snow like a ten year old with my friends. i swear, i'll be fifty and still sledding and counting the first snowday of the year as a holiday.
anyway, that's me and winter for you. caio. |

Help me make my gramma proud!! ^_^
A few weeks a go, she sat me down and said, "my first wish for you, is that you are able to make something of the gifts and lessons I have given you". She is 97 years old, and taught me to crochet when I was very young. My personal goal is to sell at least 100 crocheted items (I specialize in scarves, but I just taught myself how to do purses, too!) before she passes on.

Hi,wintergirls!
I've taken the liberty of joining your community,if you'll have me.Although I live in sunny Spain,with long,hot summers and short, mild winters on the Costa Blanca,where I live,I'm English and can remember that really icy winters are a perfect excuse for snuggling in fluffy blankets-my obsession-so I think your community,with its reference to blankets,sweaters,etc. ,should prove congenial. |
