I've just taken over the family property up north of Ashern in the interlake. Looking to turn it into something. I'm setting up workshop space for my own projects but would be open to someone who wanted to run a business from out here, set up a workshop, studio space, whatever. If you're like me and value your independence this could be a killer opportunity. I'm quite serious about throwing the place open to anyone wanting to start something up. I've lived my whole life on small contracts and stuff, owned two businesses, and hey, I did the CAD work on something you see every day! Realy... this thing...

Hmmm... geek street creds. Ok, I know three chip ML's (6502, 6811, x86), the usual comp languages (Fortran, Pascal, C++), Autocad Lisp and PovRay rendering language. I've run an ISP up in Thompson. My last business was hacking DirecTV and selling the equipment for same. My first computer was an Apple ][+ which I've just scavenged (along with my old Hayes 300 baud modem) for NAND chips. I fart code in my sleep.
Here's some pics of my place. Looks a little rough now but I've only been up here a month and hey, it's still winter! The space is great though. All mod cons and highspeed IS available right now, although it's a pain in the ass. I figure, if you can't handle 28.8 you ain't no true geek. Only n00bs/script kiddies require highspeed to live. No, I'm not a gamer. Real comp geeks like physics... pool and pinball! Oh ok, I just can't afford Everquest or WoW *grin*. Ah WoW... the crack cocaine of gaming.
