hey

hey everyone,
how are you all doing? I'm doing well, and I'm sorry that I haven't updated this community lately.

A book recommendation would be The 5 Love Languages For Singles. Hubby and I have The 5 Love Languages, and like it very much.

prayer request:

- a girl in the youth group that Josh and I help lead is currently pregnant. It isn't a good relationship, and so if you could keep both of them in your prayers, that would be great.

Thanks...I hope you have a great day.

I am going to be reading song of songs again soon. I just like it so much, and I also think it's great for people who aren't married to read too because it shows us how a marriage relationship is supposed to be.

What are you currently reading?

hey everyone!

I hope you all are having a great new year!

Josh and I were recently sick with the flu, but we are much better now.

Other than that, he's going to start going back to school online. That's more of a praise report than anything if you know about how he was going to school in Gulfport, but that got cut short because of hurricane Katrina.

Anyone have any prayer requests? Just let me know :) I'll be glad to pray for you

I understand why we are supposed to wait for marriage, and until really recently I was all for it and excited about it and just gung-ho about it.

But, what's a person supposed to do if they have desires, but they don't want to get married, they just want to get laid for the physical part of it? I have decided that marriage is not something that I want to go into. I'm not into submitting, I don't want to be some guy's bitch, I don't like all the togetherness, I don't like how I will have to consult my husband before I make any decisions, and, divorce is too messy. It's too much of a risk. Plus, I can't emotionally connect to a guy; I've never been able to. And, I just don't want to. I've seen people fall in love, and they lose their brains and all sense of logic. I want my feet to stay on the ground.

What's a girl like me supposed to do? Pray for God to take my desires away?

prayer request...

quick update...more like a prayer request

Ok, so Josh and I are trying to make some very important decisions as of right now...here's the short version of what's going on.

God has revealed to us that while we are here right now for a reason, the home we are in is just temporary...as in, someday in the near future, we will move to raise our kids in a home somewhere else.

Josh and I are discouraged about something. Even though we have been here a year, we don't have any friends to hang out with outside of church. If we do want to hang out with a young couple from our church, we are always inviting ourselves over to hang out with them. Even though we have each other to encourage in our spiritual walks, we really feel like sometimes it would just be nice to have other people to connect with. God knows we need friends...but not like this. Friendship works 2 ways, and sometimes it can wear you out always trying to persue a friendship with people that would rather not hang out with you.

Moreover, we have been asking God if we are to move to Huntsville, Alabama, which is about 2 hours from our home. We know that there is an oppertunity for Josh to go to school there to be able to get his degree in counseling in 2 years. If that is God's will for us, we will be selling our home and buying a home there in Huntsville. Not to mention, if that happens, it will be an oppertunity for Josh to make more money than he is making now with his job.

We both are open to this if it is what God wants for us. Please pray for us during this time, and pray that we would really seek God's will and not our own. God's timing is always perfect, and he will let us know what we are to do.

hey everyone,
just a note, if you have joined my community newlyweds_4_him, it is no longer there as you can see. I have re-named it and changed a few things about that community. It is now located here immarriednow Please join that one if you were a member of newlyweds_4_him.

Thanks

~Sarah

ps- immarriednow is a community similar to this one in that it's a place to hang out in and share stories and find encouragement. However, it's different obviously, because it is a place for young married couples to hang out and talk about married life. So, I hope that it will be helpful to you if you are now married. You can join if you would like to. There are no members yet, but I hope that will soon change, God willing :)

hello everyone,
I have a prayer request. Please pray for our friend Jamey, and his wife, Tami. They are expecting a baby girl Ella Claire, possibly tomorrow. Tami is going to be induced (sp) (good thing too cause she was about to pop)

I also have another prayer request. Josh and I are thinking more and more about a family. Ok, I'll be honest, I think about it more than he does, I think every woman does lol.

Either way, after next year we are going to start trying to have a baby. I need you to pray that everything would go well with that (even though it's far off, next year will be here before we know it) and I need you to pray that my doctor would refer me to a good doctor that I will be seeing when I am pregnant.

I will be talking to him about this in march of 2007 when I go to see him for my yearly exam.

Thanks guys =) I am praying for you all!!

Continue to seek God in your relationships and you will do great with them =)

I have been with my boyfriend for just over a year.  I feel blessed to say that God has been there through it all for us.  We survived being apart for 6 months only because God helped us to be understanding with each other.  I also want to say that God has been there for us too because when the temptation to go farther then we should struck me, he was strong and told me to stop; when the temptation struck him, I was able to tell him to stop.  I'm so glad that God has been helping us.  The best thing that my boyfriend has ever said was the other night.  He said "you really want to wait until you're married and I'm willing to wait with you.  I'm going to make sure you keep that promise to yourself."  Are we going to be getting married soon, I'm not sure, but I know that God is working in our relationship and I think that's the only thing that matters.
