After a long and tiring day of traveling on Friday, Superfag and Wesseldyke are reunited for what promises to be a vacation of the vandefabulous variety.
Friday night included introducing Ryan, Eric, and Charla to the glory of Napoleon Dynamite as viewed with bootlegged subtitles from China. When "because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff" becomes "because I fuck quite good," one needs to laugh.
Since it was sunny yesterday morning, Aaron and I decided it would be a good day to go downtown and explore. Even though it got a lot cloudier and started raining by the end of the evening, we did plenty of shopping. I revel in taking public transit; if only it were possible in West Michigan.
Finding tank tops that fit me has always been a problem. I learned yesterday that instead of shopping for tank tops made for women, I should instead look for tank tops made for gay men, as they fit far better. I came away with an adorable "Mountie" shirt and the satisfaction at having again upped my gender ambiguity. Of this I am proud. Shopping adventures also involved me finding a coat that I wanted very badly-- and that was too small since my chest is too big. It's a common theme. We found some cute things for Aaron, though, and I ate one of the best cupcakes I've ever tasted. I also bought the new Josh Groban CD. It's amazing; did we have any doubt?
A reason I like Canada:

My people have done something productive!
Aaron and I also had fun trying on hats. Since all hats are naturally too big for my head, we had to tie one on so it would fit:

Then, he decided to tie his too so we would match:

We also found the most wonderful man in the world at HMV:

Ryan joined us at the end of the night, where we ate Japanese food and then went to see The Departed. Good movie, terrible ending. Isn't that always the way? In any case, it was a fabulous day-- vandefabulous, if I may dare to say so.
Today has been filled with doing absolutely nothing-- and it's been wonderful. Aaron worked on his paper, Ryan did... something, and I read and played on the internet. I'm going to get spoiled by this not-having-responsibility thing. Now, Aaron and I are introducing Ryan to Saved!, as his not seeing it is quite the tragedy indeed.
